i get strange shivers…

Dom (@dotcom) 9 years ago

This is something odd i have noticed of late. Whenever i truly pray (not necessarily in the Christian sense) or wish good to someone i get these shivers all over my body. these are not just random wishes of “oh i hope you feel better” but a real empathetic thought. also when i feel in harmony with my surroundings, maybe through a beautiful song, i get these shivers. its seems as though these come about through truly peaceful actions or moments. Anyone experience anything similar? Any thoughts, comments or explanations are more than welcome!

Is it like the chills you get when listening to music? Because that’s cause by a dopamine release.

@dotcom, just remember, humans created our vocal Language. Feelings and energies (I believe) are far more superior than throat noises, for portraying a “message”

@zentripper, yeah thats neat. ive read about that somewhere. makes sense to me

@justinr, thats a good way of putting it. these times really just inspire me to keep thinking that way as well as taking my actions in that direction. those moments are always awesome. its like im getting a message.

@dotcom, could be a cognitive reaction, ie. your brain expects to feel better after such actions and therefore……..

@dotcom, Jason Silva speaks about awe, and inspiration. When one is inspired, truly inspired. . . or stuck in complete awe of beauty or goodness, nerve endings in the body and brain are surged with energy from the universal surroundings. I usually get them while looking through this site at some of the stuff people write about, and more so in reality with actions of others and the feels that situations create. It usually begins in the crown of the skull and whisks down through the arms and torso to the legs. It’s an amazing feel is it not? To myself, I’m doing something wrong if i’m not getting them regularly.
