I love Walmart

I really dislike Walmart. I try my best not to ever shop there. However, I love to test products at Walmart. They allow you to return anything and everything! Some items have to be returned within 14 days and some have to be returned within 60 or 90 days. If Walmart has something you want to play with for a few days, even if it is a beach ball, tell them it didn’t bounce like you expected it to, they will take it back for a full refund.

Recently I tried out an Amazon Kindle Touch from Walmart. I wanted it to read PDF file’s, and some books. It was terrible for PDF files so I took it back. How awesome was it that i got to try it out for free?

I have certainly done this with many products over the past few years

Anyone else find this amusing? Only using a store to test out products and then go and purchase them elsewhere, on the internet or at a locally owned business, if you like them?

Has any of yall done this before?

@ilooklikeawaterbottle, They will catch you after a while. They keep track of these kinds of things (so long as you pay with a card) and if you make too many returns in a given period they will come down on you.

But yeah, I do this. =)

@lytning91, how do they come down on you? Have you been caught before?

@lytning91, come down on you how? They really can’t do anything besides refusing your return.

The first is an article about return fraud the second is a company that is used to combat it.

@smalls, Yeah, but that doesn’t just mean Wal-Mart. You can get black-listed and then returns everywhere are a no-go.

@lytning91, damn, that’s messed up. That still seems like a problem with their policies though, if they don’t like it they should change them. But then again retail isn’t my specialty.
