I stutter, need someone practice new techniques with.

Greetings!

I stammer, and I want to end it. I’ve read an interesting book about this subject, and I’d need people to talk to. I like listening aswell, so just simply talking about ANYTHING is useful :)
I was thinking about skype.

If you send me a mail regarding this topic, I send you my skype adress, or you may send yours if you want.
We should just talk about anything we want, it’s that simple. :)

Just some things about me: Im 22/M, live in Hungary (Europe). Used to play lot of video games, doing lot of sports, reading interesting book, reading and trying out PUA stuff (pick up artist).
I generally try to be as positive as possible, and do my best.

Cheers

@good, hey, i have zero experience with this and don’t have skype… but I read this story(fiction) once about this kid who stuttered whenever he read, and his tutor helped him through it by getting him to relax when he spoke. Perhaps focusing on being able to calm yourself at will would help.

Is this a piece of pick up artistry?

The cook at the restaurant I used to work at told me that he used to have a really persistent stutter that was cured when he worked at Mcdonalds and the manager forced him to work a the drivethrough talking to people. He said it was all about having to face the challenge and sticking with it so I imagine skyping with people is a great strategy.

I saw a video of a boy who would stammer and the way his tutor helped him overcome it was to listen to music while talking, just like in the movie the Kings Speech.

@tangledupinplaid21, Yeah, being calm makes stuttering impossible. I can read fluently alone. :)
But when e.g. Someone says something insulting to me, it’s a bit harder.

@anjelica, Yeah, you are right. I have to face it, I read in this book, and it’s said to be extremely important. First I just learn to speak at a normal, calm manner while reading, then I go and try it out with people in real life.
It’s kind of hard to talk slow, but it’s just a matter of practice.

And this is not a PUA trick, the chances that you live in my town is close to 0.

@bernardo,
Well, what if I dont hear music when I need it? :P

Well, noone has messaged my yet. I dont really stammer, but I have to practice talking in a slow, calm way with people, so you won’t be bored I can assure you. :)

I mean I stammer, but its hard to notice because I tend to circumvent, use substitutions, but it’s really annyoing to me.
