If there was a big-bang, so we must believe in destiny

Simply because if there was a point where everything we know was condensed… Our holy history was written there! Read this is in your schedule already, that will change your day, week, month, year, life.
Connecting every small thing into a bigger one is fascinating. After some deep think you will see every action you take will change your life someway!

@mattgood, Non-sequitor.

If everything is condensed that does not mean destiny. Two reasons.

Destiny is a very loaded word. One could also used determined, or determinism.

Secondly, there still appears to be randomness and purely probabilistic events in the world, which means that determinism (destiny) is still fallible. These random and probabilistic events (see radioactive decay and quantum mechanics) may prove eventually to be deterministic, but until then, we can’t really say.

Finally, the only true thing in all reality is the now. The past and future may be complete illusions, constantly replaced and changed in an indescribable way. Far beyond comprehension, thus completely shattering any type of determinism or randomness or anything at all.

“After some deep think” lol, like that one though.

Or perhaps the universe is not expanding. Instead time is speeding up giving the illusion of the red shift that makes us think the universe is expanding. The universe is static. It is just that old photons move faster than new photons.

Or at least that is Alexander Shulgins perspective:

@ijesuschrist, Man, I love you. I just putted that because I need a way to take this out of my mind. I was starting to feel like I didn’t have any control for what is going to happen to me. So I knew that someone more clever or more philosophic would change it.
