There are so many times that we say (royal we cause I know I do and figure a couple of you do as well) that we would change the world for the better. But what does that mean to you? What, in your eyes, even is better?
Would you challenge the hunger of the world?
The greed of the few for the certainty of the whole?
The overuse of our precious resources?
I’m asking you what you would do if money was no issue. No naysayer could stop you. No hater could dent your core. What would you do today to improve this world?
Have you ever watched Charlie Chaplin’s speech that he made? You can find it on YouTube by typing in “The Greatest Speech Ever Made.” In it, he states that “The misery that is upon us is but the passing of greed. The bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass and dictators die and the power they took from the people will return to the people.”
At some point we will have that ability back in our hands, but only when we stand up. In the words of Doctor Suess, “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.” However, when someone comes along that does care that much we will see more than we ever expected. I feel like you cared a whole awful lot in sharing your thoughts and I thank you for that. Know that if there is ever a way I can fight for what you want, I’ll be there.
I thinng are right as they are supposed to be. I think we’re to close to see that now, but time dose the trick. With that said, I think what will make the world better is people being more authentic. The way I see it, people that harm and are completly unconcious of their place in the world are the one;s who can do much harm to each other, the environment, and themselves. In the future when our basic needs are met and we don;t have to worry about poverty and hunger,, we can start to reason and that will inevitably bring people to do what they want and not what they HAVE to do, which only brings anger and disconection. We need to realice our mortality and act upon our desires, trusting the perfect plan of “god” or “the universe” and use enthusiasm as our only compass. In this way I believe that true gifts and inspiering ideas will change the world fot the better, and people being happy and complete will have no need for wrong doing.
