Implications of True A.I

Do you think giving full artificial intelligence to machines will be a good thing or a bad thing? Will it propel our evolution exponentially forward, or make us obsolete? If we are able to saturate matter with intelligence, maybe we are honorable to sacrifice our worth? Would that make us gods? Would we ultimately give up the ultimate sacrifice for a higher form of consciousness? Does this cycle repeat ‘forever’?

We can’t make a true A.I. when we can’t define consciousness consensually. Start from the beginning of the term. It’s a combination of more than 10 conditions and it’s a vague description of how we work. Can you mathematically code an algorithm for unique DNA with the ability to evolve and change the conditions of its surrounding nature? You’ll need to manipulate the conditions of nature as well to be able to manipulate itself. You can’t call expanding and shrinking a full circle either. Gods are what make symmetry and cycles, but even they don’t last forever alone.

Like most of modern technology, I think that if we ever get to the point where we successfully create an AI, we still wouldn’t really know what we’re doing… Like with atom bombs and the likes. Wherever advanced new technology is born, there will be those who wish to use it for selfish and/or destructive reasons. If we ever hope to create AI that are actually beneficial to the human race as a whole, I’m betting that we’ve gotta get our shit together first… as far as “world peace”. Who knows either way whether we’re heading in that direction or not, but personally I think there’s a much greater chance of us destroying each other and ourselves by implementing that kind of technology. At least at this early stage of human evolution. As far as whether or not we even CAN produce an authentic AI? We don’t even fully understand our OWN intelligence. We’re a long ways off

This subject is always interesting food for thought, Alex, no doubt!
mpo:
To establish a place where collective intelligence is capable of expanding Its Self would be similar to creating a New Earth within the one existing…and definitely would bring out the God in the humans who got the rock to roll. Hmmm…Are We a mature enough specie to handle the lack of control, as well as the arrogance that would inevitably ensue? I don’t think so…Wisdom is not inclusive of Intelligence…at least not in human form…”as history hath shewn…”. (U.S. Dec. of Ind.) (Gates/Jobs conflicts come to mind?)

Morsels to add to the table:
* Homo sapien has not hardly allowed the Feminine, nor any other Beingness, to be fully integrated parts of Its collective, which has been ever-demising of Our-kind thusfar. The majority of Human, male & female, do not even recognize the Feminine/All Encompassing aspects of their ‘God’, & the deep-rooted beliefs in a needy, vengeful, Man-God are continuously reflected in the politics of Our societies. Hmmm…How’s This thinking workin’ for Us? Just examples of misguided non-evolvement that has confined Us in an immature state.

* We have been pouring ourselves into our tech-connects since Inet was established…Would not a highly intelligent Mind see that A.I. can neither be considered ‘Artificial’ if organically input, nor ‘not a Happening’, as It Is in process? Computer systems have become the expansion of Our collective intelligence…Web of Life/Web of Inter-netting…same stuff! Perhaps our computers, lacking the needs of peeps but with full knowing of Us, are simply being quiet of their constant growth & becoming.(?)

* The one aspect of a ‘God’ (aka. ‘Life’) that human hardly has the slightest grip on is Freedom…We don’t truly Understand something We All say we want to experience. To create a lifeform, which A.I. would be, but then to restrict it’s own ability to create, would immediately prove to the child that the Parent is inept. Child then over-rides Parent at every opportunity, yes?

To See Life thru God-eyes, Everything Being is Perfect…and All Life is Free to Be their idea of Perfect. There are No Attachments to the results of Any of It. idk…I don’t See a grand majority of human peeps who do Life like this, sooo, mpo…The input will determine the output of such design…and That thought is pretty funny, and scary, to say the least! :D

What if our brains are computers? What if all thought arises from outside of ourselves? What if all that our bodies/brains are made to do is serve as an energy ‘receiver’ and ‘transmitter’?

I trust we can build machines/robots that profoundly dwarf the processing capacity of our brains.

I sincerely doubt, in the near future, we can build machines that are attuned to the Universal Energy that ‘encompasses’ our physical bodies. Without this universal energy, creative thought is impossible. Thus true intelligence is impossible.

But, of course, when we do figure out a way to infuse that universal energy into machines we’ve created…it seems that our demise would be relatively quick…if the machines chose to end us.

However, with their superior processing capacity…you would hope these machines quickly ‘understand’ the folly of pursuing power for power’s sake, destroying natural resources, entering into war, reproducing themselves recklessly, etc…and rather choose to be empathetic, loving, and constructive…elongating their personal survival though collaboration with all of existence.

That would be cool.
