Inspirational podcasts ?

infamousgeek (@infamousgeek) 8 years, 7 months ago

First of all, I would like to point out that I’m new to HE. I’ve found a lot of content on this website that totally blew my mind. So I would like to thank everyone at HE for that.

Now, getting to the point, I want to follow some podcasts or listen to some audiobooks that keep me motivated everyday. Can someone help me with this ?

I’ve seen a lot of TED talks but I need something more specific like motivational speaking or something to which I can subscribe to and listen to every week ?

First of all, the podcast im about to mention inspired me in a different way. It sort of opened my eyes, and now i see everything in a new light. I would recommend watching the joe rogan experience. He has a guest speaker and they have really interesting conversations.

Reality Sandwich recently compiled a list of podcasts geared towards “our kind”

-I love the Psychedelic Salon podcast, mostly because Terence McKenna is a big inspiration for me.

The Pirate bay has the Alan Watts “Out of Your Mind” Audio Collection.. Absolutely fantastic collection of his best material and something you can listen to again and again;

I’m not sure how you feel about channeled material, but Bashar (as channeled by Daryl Anka) has some great YouTubes that are usually 3-10mins in length.. Bashar brings a very interesting perspective to say the least…

These 2 are awesome! They both offer advice and life lessons. But they never take things too seriously and always find humor in life.

Joe Rogan – The Joe Rogan Experience:

Most people only know Joe as the host of “Fear Factor”. But he also is a stand up comic, UFC commentator, entrepreneur, and I’d even say he’s a motivational speaker. On his podcast he has a variety of guests from athletes, comics, writers, futurists, lifehackers, etc. I’m constantly inspired when I least expect it.

Joey “Coco” Diaz – The Church of What’s Happening Now:

Joey is a former criminal/addict who turned his life around and pursued comedy. He hops on Joe Rogan’s podcast from time to time as well. This guy is hilarious and always keeps its real. Definitely worth checking out.

I hope this helps!
