Well, you can’t ‘prove’ anything, so sure. It’s neither bad nor good. It’s neutral, and varies person to person. In a sense you have faith in something either way. Whether it is faith in something, or faith in nothing.

@ Bryan- Certain feelings. People have already touched on that though. A specific example for me would be that I have faith in my abilities as a boxer, and fully believe I’m going to kick my opponent’s ass. Even though clearly I can’t prove that (until the fight of course).

What is really important? To me it is-try not to harm others, try to have love for others, embrace my passion, try to laugh every day and seek wisdom. Probably in that order. I figure is anything else worth believing? I have to say no.

i’d say if it feels true to you, believe what you want. believe in scripture. or believe in philosophy. or meditation. whatever is true in yourself, believe it. fuck everyone else. and everyone who hates on the christian faith because people are “brainless followers” (i hear that a lot of times) should focus on themselves. what do you believe? believe it. leave everyone else alone.

i believe in myself. i worship myself. i don’t judge those who believe otherwise.

“Faith: not wanting to know what is true.”
-Friedrich Nietzsche

It may benefit some but its all delusion. And delusion is never truly good.

I have my simple code so I can function, I can co-exist with others, I can live with myself and I can enjoy life because of it. This leaves me completely open to every other thing in the universe, to explore without commitment. Because my code leaves nothing vital out, the rest is just a play toy.
