I believe it’s part socially constructed and part natural. Conceptions of privacy differ from culture to culture, however I think we need to some extent to protect what we think, value or judge (IMHO it’s not wrong to judge others, it’s PC society that affirms such).
I believe people should always have the option of privacy. I am not saying anti-social is the way to go. Rather, I’m saying that forced cohabitation tends to breed all sorts of problems, many of which are anti-social. Sometimes people want to mingle and share. Other times they want privacy. I’m saying in terms of both thoughts and ideas as well as actual physical privacy. A little alone time is good as a refresher.
