there can’t be one TRUE religion, right?
In my personal opinion, in accordance to your wording, religion is real. However there is not a right or wrong religion and the idea of “religion” has become corrupt.
Religion by today’s definition is a group of people following a path they believe through faith to be the correct path created and designed for them so that they can be the best person they can be, they find it brings them happiness and purpose to do as their “god” has asked, and if it is not in alignment with that path it is wrong and must be corrected.
I find this way of life crippling for many reasons, but I will simply state two.
1. There is no path, no way of life that any two people can share, let alone thousands. The beauty of life is creating your own path, making discoveries, being curious. Being told what path to take because it was designed for you is crippling for self discovery and self growth. “At the top of a hundred foot pole, go forward”
2. Telling other people they are wrong because they do not believe in what you believe in is closed minded and quite frankly rude. Sorry to be harsh. Every single religion believes in their god through faith, meaning that they believe without proof that their god exists. Only a book written by man and feeling. We know that man can be deceiving, and we know that feelings can be as well. So there is no actual way of knowing who is right and wrong. Most religions preach acceptance and love, however they can’t seem to accept or love each other. My question is why.
