Is universal peace achievable?

Spreading the message of love and peace is one of the most admirable and humane displays of energy. Yet, with all those who live for the good of all in this world, there is another collection of violence and cruelty in this world as well. Will we ever conform for the purpose of total universal peace?

Taking universal peace to mean ‘a world without conflict and suffering’, no, I don’t think a world like that could ever exist. But I do believe that achieving a world similar in nature to something along those lines is possible. A world with a lot less suffering and a lot less conflict is very possible. As a global collective I don’t know how we would get to that point, but personally I think it’d be along the lines of altruism, or caring for the welfare of others over your own, or doing more for others than you do for yourself.

I’ve kinda seen a couple different spin-offs of how to achieve this in anime shows. This one villain held the ideal that nothingness is the absolute tranquil environment free from conflict, but also free from everything. He wanted to destroy the entire universe until nothingness remained, because in that state, nothing would exist to suffer, or cause suffering to others.

In another anime, this one villain wanted to create an infinite dream in which everything in the world would fall into an eternal slumber, where each entity would dream about their own perfect world, and they’d live out that dream for the rest of their lives. It’s something along the lines of an individual localized subjective utopia. Each person would be living out their own individual idea of utopia, in their own dream.

Despite what many say the world is constantly progressing toward higher forms.

War and Peace are polarities, we as human beings are not headed toward peace alone, but towards the synthesis of the two qualities.

This will occur as fast as each individual finds their own medium between the two poles.

What do you really mean with “universal peace”? Among countries? Among people? What is peace exactly? No fights whatsoever?

The only peace is within.
