Daily tasks can be boring. We’ve all been there. I’m curious as to what little things you do to make mundane tasks more tolerable.
For example, I was recently told that I had to start drinking 8 glasses of water a day. This isn’t a huge deal, but I have low water pressure and it takes about two minutes for a single glass to fill up. while it’s filling, I will play a “game” where I try and melt holes in the ice with the dripping water.
Another one, my driveway is on a hill and when I back down it, I like to switch from reverse to 1st gear (I drive a standard) without using the break at all.
Firstly, thanks for the reminder to drink water. I of course had my coffee this morning. Tsk.
I just try to tune in to Now. Really hone in on what I’m doing. Experience every detail of the reality. Make it something new and adventurous. I find my sense of humor to be quite enjoyable so I make a lot of jokes to myself and portray funny scenarios in my head which is why I can be caught smiling or laughing to myself a lot.
in my job i work with a lot of people, so i always try to improve my social character and see what jokes, discussions and things are worth to be use in the “normal society” to be “normal” when i’m out with my friends or just home alone i mostly analize persons that i have met during the day. also i like to put some persons in difficult situations and see how they react, i find it kinda funny when this old rich lady doesn’t want to admit that she’s wearing a dead animal and stuff like that. This is my favourite roleplay game.
