Looking for a good road trip.

My room mate and I were planning to hike a portion of the Appalachian trail for spring break, but our trail guide (and person providing shelter) has backed out on us. We are still very much planning a trip of some sort, but now that circumstances have changed I am wondering if there may be another (yet similar) journey we could take.
Last year we went hiking in the Appalachian trails in South Carolina, and fared well. looking to recreate another great experience.
Suggestions do not have to be directly related to the A.T., but keep in mind we are from Indiana, so I am probably not going to road trip to somewhere far away like Cali.

i’ve been to 48 out of fifty states. if money is a problem you could hike the trail along the blue ridge parkway. the north end is called skyline drive and starts in front royal virginia at exit 13 off interstate 66 the road goes for four hundred plus miles southwest into north carolina and ends in tennessee i believe somewhere in the great smokey mountains. if you can bank some cash and got reliable wheels i take a road trip every year for a month. it costs a grand a week but i usually put on 20,000 miles and do a lot of camping. i stay in the lower 48. message me if you want any suggestions or tips

It’s funny because some of my buddies and I were considering planning a trip up to N.C. for a hiking/tripping adventure sometime in the near future.

@chaselang19, Me and a good buddy of mine are also from Indiana, and also looking around for any good road trips, or just anywhere to explore. We usually camp, Michigan dunes, Lake Monroe, so on since they’re near by and relativity cheap, but have been looking to go on a larger scale road trip lately.

We’re planning a tour across the country next summer.

If you find any or know of any cool places to go, near by or far away it’d be cool to exchange ideas. Will probably make a thread later of places to visit in America, but thats in the future.

Anyway feel free to message me with any great scenery, places, or great things to do around us. It’d be greatly appreciated.

Could even make a HEthan gathering at some point, meet some like minded people in the region.

Note: this applies to anyone and everyone

It seems like we are a bunch of people with questions, rather than answers. I’m from OH and I’m trying to plan a road trip this summer.

We are thinkin Canada!
