For a while i have known that the best way to induce lucid dreaming is to begin with a dream journal. You write down all your dreams that you have every day as soon as you wake up so that you don’t forget them. You also perform certain “reality checks” like checking the time or flicking a light switch on or off whenever you can because tiny details like the ones i just mentioned wouldn’t change throughout your dream. Lights don’t turn off, the clock is always on the same time, etc.
So what i wanna do is start posting my dreams on here every chance i get, i encourage you all to do the same, as it would be really interesting to see what other people dream.
WOOHOO FIRST COMMENT! It’s great you’re doing this, but using this as a journal/ diary? It could be dangerous. Dreams are mostly your unconscious mind, and there lies your secrets. Experts can even interpret your dreams to its meanings. This is too much info for the public for me, it can be used against you. Real unnecessary risks. Consider your private infos and how they’ll reflect in your dreams.. You may not even be aware of without careful deductions of your dreams.
One of my most vivid lucid dreams involved me “flying” through the air on a vine. I say flying because I had the sensation of it even though all I did was ride it. But I controlled how fast it grew and we soared over hills, through raging storms, in the sun, the rain, and the wind. It was so liberating. Every hill we came across, I would decide what we would see on the other side. Or if there even was another side. Absolutely wonderful. I do not keep a dream journal, though and never have. I actually start to notice little things in my dreams that make me realize that I’m asleep and that’s when I go lucid. For example, in this dream I had fallen and caught myself when I noticed the tattoo on my arm was missing. This was my giveaway.
Ive always had lucid dreams but ive never even thought about trying to fly in a dream. It just doesn’t catch my attention at the time or it still seems impossible. In a way i believe its a way for my mind to tell me that i cant experience something in a dream that i haven’t experienced in real life. In other words, you cant know what something feels like without really knowing how it feels. Does that make sense?
Yea i agree, posting all of my dreams on here would be very cluttered. Especially now, considering I’ve been having dreams that i can remember, every single day. I Specifically remember having 5 dreams in one night earlier this week and i remember all of them clearly. I guess il just post the more interesting dreams on here.
