Lucid Dreaming

i need some help on lucid dreaming , i wonder if there is any way to increase the chances of you lucid dreaming that night . as in , is there any techniques or mental preparations that you can do before you go to sleep?

To be successful at lucid dreaming fast, i would recommended using all day awareness with reality checks combined with the wake back to bed method and either WILD MILD or SSILD techniques. Look them up for how to do each skill. But it’s really up to you, any method will be successful with enough dedication and practice!!

@thatofficialguy, you are lucid dreaming everyday in a fictional world created by the mind. why would you press deeper in the illusion?

@lesterxp, because the illusion is so beautiful maybe if i can harness its power , i may be able to in this deeper state of illusion figure out and create new things to bring into the dull illusion . you are asking me why do i want to enter the illusion inside the illusion, right? what you just said made my mind go berserk. if reality is the illusion than what is the “non-reality” supposed to be ? are we really waking up when we go to sleep? why is the subconscious state of mind deeper than the conscious mind?

@thatofficialguy, There is no subconscious state. There is only consciousness or its absence. What you call subconscious is information in the mind you currently cannot focus your attention on. Consciousness is not attention. Any of the illusions- waking state or dreaming state need consciousness to manifest. In the absence of consciousness nothing manifests. Ask yourself you the one that wants to harness the power of illusion, existing in any of the illusions, are you real? When you say “I” what do you refer to? Body? Mind? Something else? WHat are you made of? And most of all, where are you?

@lesterxp, i ponder on these questions every day of my life that what drives me too keep living to be honest . the will to know . but your thought patterns are making my brain hurt to be honest .i think its because im sober , anywho . so what would you define dreaming as ? & what would you define reality as ? what im guessing your going to say is that they are both the same illusion? lol does your mind think there is any way to master illusion? i couldve swore was seen through the eyes not the mind , and when you are sleeping you no longer see through your eyes my friend

@thatofficialguy, I am so glad to hear that your drive is to realize yourself. Few actually walk this path.
What you see , you only see in your mind. There is no actual way to know what is in front of your eyes. You might say – there are stimuli that produce the brain imagery , but then what is the stimulus for dreaming? Even so, how do you differentiate a dream from the so called “real world”? Through continuity – a narration made up by the mind so events and experiences make “sense” The dream doesn’t make sense because it lacks this continuity. For the mind to construct this it needs organized memory Organized memory is what you call the sense of “I”. You are only what you can remember in an structured organized chronically accurate way. And now you want to enter in a state where you would remember dreams and the mind will build a narrative for your new found organized memory.

Set an alarm. Wake yourself up 6 hours after you initially go to sleep .. now you are aware ..
tell your self “i will lucid dream, i will lucid dream i will lucid dream” with practice along with doing reality checks throughout the day you should be aware in your dream.

@lesterxp, you are good at this lmao . what you say makes my mind turn left or turn right i cant drive no more so im bout to just let go of the wheel , soon im going to take my foot of the gas and let it roll until it stops . hopefully i dont crash before i take my foot off the brake lol . but what caught my attention from your response is , organized memory. say i have a dream or a lucid dream in which i see myself in the future living a certain way or being in a certain place maybe doing a certain action. if i wake up , and my mind does not forget these images/memories. will it get put into my normal organized memory and sooner or later come to my existence which is in the organized memory of everyone elses? you are saying that life is just the memborance of everybody . what about a person who has caught amnesia ? is there organized memory forgotten? or is there and unorganized memory that needs to be filed. you are very confusing but it intrigues me for some odd reason lol

@thinkalini, i do not sleep for no more than 5 hours currently so this is invalid to me . i think i will lucid dream before i sleep , i think about the dream i want to have and sometimes i have it .

hmm if you are not sleeping for more then 5 hours then you can not fully enter you REM cycle thus making lucidity more difficult.. becoming lucid with a shorten rem cycle may lead too sleep paralysis
