Magick/Magicka Practices/Thoughts

Anonymous (@) 8 years, 9 months ago

Hello friends,

So now as I delve deeper into the Rabbit Hole I’m beginning to open my eyes to new theories/practices/ideals. I’ve begun to consciously try semen retention and transmutation in order to transmutate and channel my energy into productivity. Also, I’ve recently bought a Quartz crystal as a necklace for its channeling/meditative abilities.

I’ve always been fascinated with magic/magicka and I wanted to know if you guys could give me any insight. I know a lot of people don’t believe in Magicka on one spectrum and at the other end of the spectrum we have Mr. Crowley scaring everyone off from the idea. But anyhow – I’d like your insight on the topic and any recommendations for someone who is just beginning to understand these concepts.

@aestheticbrah, Having an open mind is good, but don’t waste your time. None of it is real.

:( I just find that hard to accept because our ancestors have been practicing magic/rituals for centuries. Druidism, shamanism, witch doctors; they are all VERY real. Across the globe and found in various countries. They have to have some truth to it. I feel like closing my mind off to the truth of magicka will make me close-minded and ignorant.

@aestheticbrah,

1. What type of practices are you interested in?

2. Open your mind, Crowley isn’t scary. There is no such thing as good and evil, only duality. Light and darkness, Yang and Yin. Avoiding the dark is ignorance, one who avoids the dark can never reach enlightenment. Seek the light that illuminates, not the light that blinds.

3. Realize that magick is just a word, it’s not what people think it is. It’s not some kind of Harry Potter bullshit, it’s not conjuring or shooting fireballs. It’s all ordinary natural stuff, it’s all about the workings of the mind and nature.

I’m fascinated with these ideas as well but I’m still in the beginning stages of learning about it. A Magician, to me, is someone who understands the invisible world and uses that understanding to create tools that helps him/her manifest what they imagine into the physical. This view comes from the idea that at one spectrum of existence we are all energy and frequency. I think that on some level, a magician becomes a state of being that resonates with his desires, almost becoming a magnet for what he wants. But, who knows? It’s fun to experiment and try, why not right? Have you heard of/tried Sigil Magic? I’ve had some positive experiences trying it. I haven’t studied semen retention though, have you experienced any results?

@aestheticbrah, Everything is magic. That sentence alone is magic. Words or ‘spells’ are powerful because they change consciousness. If you don’t believe or respect the power of magic, it will over power you. Life is all about expectations, the only reason magic doesn’t appear to be real to most people is because most expect it to not be real. Quantum physics can demonstrate how true this is. What you expect is what you get. Thats the real magic. Having the highest expectation is like the all seeying eye, looking as far ahead and beyond as possible to see the most broad perspective, see from the top. Sorry this is a rambling paragraph, tough subject to try and discuss tho.

@manimal – As I’m just beginning to explore I’m very much open to anything at this point in time. Where would be a good place to start?

#2 – I never thought about it that way…very interesting I really liked that quote.

@kellogg43 – I’ve never hear of sigil magic but i’ll surely research it now. And as for semen retention – it definitely works. I just keep becoming overcome by my desires and I’m still learning to control them for self-mastery and willpower.

@aestheticbrah, That all depends on what you want to get out of it. You can’t hit a target that you can’t see. What type of magick are you interested in, and what is your goal?

What quote? I didn’t post any quote.

Advice- put the power in you, and not in the objects such as crystals you buy. It only works, if you are working.
