Mastering your Mind

How does one achieve enlightenment? Is it really possible? I would say, yes it is possible. I’ve not reached it, but I’ve experienced parts of it. The parts which I have experienced have stuck with me day after day as well. Parts like, patience or compassion. They are all segments of that larger part of being.

What is enlightenment? Personally, I would call it the ‘jump’ The complete expansion of consciousness..not in an absolute way at all, but you consciously pushed out your level of awareness to a new plateau. (Normally only possible through death?) You could achieve this, maybe by understanding the plateaus of being you came from before, and then ultimately this one itself.

But how do we do it? Well, it may not be the most popular idea, but I’m sure it may resonate with some. I believe you HAVE to take psychedelics to achieve this higher level of being. Many people might have a hard time coping with the idea that you need a drug to achieve something higher like this, but what if that is the case? The healing benefits of psychedelics have been known for quite some time, and let’s face it- our ancestors loved the stuff. You know, the people that invented language and culture. Its been a widely celebrated gift for centuries. It’s only as of lately that humans have somewhat turned against it.

Has anyone ever manipulated things with their mind while tripping? It’s completely possible, and the more you practice, the easier it becomes. For example, the last time I was tripping, it was reletively easy for me to manipulate the color of water, the designs in the clouds, the intensity of visuals I was experiencing, how light I felt, how hungry I was, how thirsty I was, when I wanted to go to the bathroom, the emotion I wanted to feel. I was literally manipulating my reality. As a sober person now, I can fully sense the impact my consciousness has in my surroundings. Which has also lead me to take a much wider spectrum of responsibility for the situations in my life, as well as other people’s lives. As a sober person now, I also feel a deep guilt when I allow myself to be needlessly negative or narcissistic, or whatever.

But, I’m not just saying to trip, have a good time, and call it a day. You’re not going to reach enlightenment getting faced and partying. Do it alone. Other people are distractions here..and meditate. Close your eyes and go as far inward as you possibly can. You’ll know what to do from there, promise. You will learn a great deal about yourself, and im certain have a few experiences which bring you a wider understanding of the Universe as a whole.

There are certain experiences you cannot achieve whilst sober. Especially as 3 dimensional beings, with *mostly* 2 dimensional minds (dichotomies) These are tools to experience things outside of those parameters. These gifts show us our potential, good and bad. Terrence McKenna would agree, that our abandonment of psychedelics in western culture will eventually lead to our downfall. Other popular theories say that psychedelics may be using us as tools for their evolution as well. As psychedelics evolve, which they have been tremendously, so will our knowledge and wisdom of ourselves and the universe. Remember, we are sending our brainwaves out constantly into the Universe. That shit matters. Use these tools to learn how to control the waves you send out.

I leave you with some Rumi:

When you do things from your soul,
you feel a river moving in you, a joy.

When actions come from another section,
the feeling disappears.

Don’t let others lead you.
They may be blind,
or worse, vultures.

Reach for the rope of Love.
And what is that?
Putting aside self-will.

Because of willfulness people sit in jail.
From willfulness, the trapped birds’ wings are tied.
From willfulness, the fish sizzles in the skillet.

The anger of police is willfulness. You’ve seen
a magistrate inflict visible punishment.
Now see the invisible.

If you could leave selfishness, you would see
how your soul has been tortured.

We are born and live inside black water in a well.
How could we know what an open field of sunlight is?

Don’t insist on going
where you think you want to go.
Ask the way to the Spring.

Your living pieces will
form a harmony.

There is a moving palace that floats through the air,
with balconies and clear water running in every part of it,
infinity everywhere, yet contained under a single tent.

Children are able to manipulate their mind like that with imagination. If you teach mindfulness practices from a young age we wouldn’t lose it. I don’t think psychedelics are the only gateway…I’ve tripped only a few times but I don’t think those experiences were catalysts to my biggest growth. But I’ve had lots of solitude and time to ask as many questions as I want, which is I believe the way people found truth in the past and there just isn’t the opportunity with the modern western lifestyle. I see why psychedelics are important to our culture but I really don’t think they are necessary for “enlightenment”. They reintroduce you to that place inside you, they don’t create it.

If children could manipulate their minds like that, humans would complain about dirty diapers a lot less.
Im not saying they create that place, but the door to that place is certainly locked. We aren’t born into it. Not anymore. (original sin?)

I don’t think people will fully grasp what I’m saying here until they’ve had a profound experience meditating under these conditions.

I would check out Food of the Gods, and Darwins Pharmacy. They make great points.

I meditate without aids and I have been wildly successful. I can make things change shape and size, Manipulate the appearance of anything blurry in fact (darkness /peripheral vision). The shadows of a slowly rotating fan blade can be made to stand still, but I must emphasize, this is all in my head. Mere perception. I don’t even consider these things meaningful.
I prefer much more when I escape and suddenly see the Milky Way, namely some cosmic model that rests within. (Left Brain meditation creates the most inspiring sites there are)
More recently, I have been practicing intuitive meditation and I am working on teaching it to my protege. It is highly right-brain. I am beside myself, because I am performing simultaneous functions – each one is overwhelming – but when I step to the outside they are mere waveforms that are more than easy to track.
I don’t think there is anything wrong with the drug version of meditation. I just don’t do it.

@hollowinfinity I just did this Nov 1st. My buddy and I went camping on the beach here in Cali. We cooked food over a fire and had a cooler of beer, plenty of weed and of course the best shrooms you can get, Albino Penis Envy (if you like psychadelics you might know these). Anyways this was my first experience with this strain and I only want to do them from now on. I went on those trips into other dimensions and realities but I was also able to control my reality some as you mention. I also experienced intense vibrations of all my chakra centers, mainly my 3rd eye. It was something I have never experienced before, except one time when I got close during meditation and my crown chakra opened and just poured out light energy.

I believe that psychedelics are just another tool, not the only way. But they are certainly the fastest way to come to find out these truths and “powers” we have. Next time I will try them alone and be ready to take more notes afterwards or even during. The mushrooms really do deliver messages to you and let you know what you are doing that is positive and what is negative.

You may even find this a little out there but on a trip I visited other civilizations and once I opened my eyes for some clarity I saw a triangle formation in the sky and a voice telling me that they are out there observing us. Hard to know what to make of that but I do believe in other life forms in this universe.
