Morning routine
Let’s talk about morning routines. A good morning routine is a key habit of a master. How you begin your day determines how the rest of the day goes. A great morning routine leaves you feeling grounded, refreshed and focused. A great life begins with a great morning. My routine is:
7:00 Wake up. Make breakfast, an awesome smoothie with almonds, coconut milk, blueberries, various other berries, hempseed, protein powder and some other stuff.
7:15 Take care of oral hygiene, shave and pick out some clothes.
7:30 Tibetan rites, 6×21, followed by ~15 minutes of meditation. After that I go out for a run, and then take a cold shower.
8:30 Review my goals and set the coordinates for my day.
It makes it very easy to stay on the right track, and it totally removes all wasted days from my life.
What’s your morning routine? And why? Let’s discuss the shit out of this stuff.

Wake up around 7:30, brush teeth, walk or usually run my dog for 15-40 minutes, oftentimes stopping at the park for 15 minutes of meditation, coffee and breakfast, computer things such as currently job searching, writing, discussing on here. Then I get a shower and get dressed, at this point its time for another walk with the dog and then going to do whatever I have planned for the day, which always involved walking a decent distance. I love using my feet for commuting.
I like my morning routine, though I think I could benefit from a more solid daily meditation practice and review of things I’m working on. No matter what, I’ve got to enjoy much of the morning outside. It’s my favorite time of day.
Wake up around 7-10, depending on the night before. Drink a ton of water and eat some nuts, eggs, meat – something healthy and tasty. Shower. Do a little bit of work before I check facebook, twitter, high existence… Do a bunch of pushups usually. I don’t really have a strict morning routine because I like to change things up. I get bored of doing the same things all the time. I guess you could say my morning routine is wake up early, eat healthy, do productive things and try to think of new things I can do for the day and or week.
I’m definitely not a morning person so all I normally do is make a healthy breakfast (usually two eggs and toast), maybe check email, and then go. But then after work (when I start my job in january) I’ll go to the gym, get food for dinner, then chill/reflect on the day, talk to roommates, work on goals, track my progress, etc.
Is it okay to not have an excellent morning routine if I hate mornings and am much more productive after work and at night?

One of the good explanations of the Rites I found.
7:00 – Alarm goes off, snooze
7:10 – Alarm goes off, snooze
7:20 – Alarm goes off, have a suspenseful mental battle with myself to actually get up.
7:23—7:28 – Put on clothes, stumble to bathroom, quickly wash face and brush teeth
7:29—7:37 – Grab peanut butter & jelly sandwich and eat in car on way to high school. Rush to get to class before 7:40.
God, I wish my morning was like yours. Please tell me how I can get up earlier.
I don’t have a morning routine. Generally I don’t wake up until after noon and even then my ‘routine’ consists of showering, teeth brushing, and grabbing clothes and leaving. Usually skipping food, but occasionally grabbing something on the go (usually junk). Needless to say, I feel like crap all day. I don’t tend to fall asleep until the sun starts rising. Any tips on starting a healthier routine?
wake up and remeber my dreams.write them down.
i wake up when i wake up.
do sun gazing, as the sun shines in on my face in my bed in the window.

Head out to catch my bus to work or enjoy the day!
Okay so here’s how it goes.
Gf’s phone alarm goes off at 7:30-8:00 – whatever I decide while laying in bed the night before. Gf gets out of bed to shut off alarm. Roll around in bed til 8:15 (class is in 15 minutes). 8:20 leave bedroom and boil tea pot. Take a piss. Drink some water. Drink either tea or coffee. Check facebook. Play a song through computer speakers. Walk around my apt drinking my tea/coffee while in stark agreement with my song choice. Smoke a cigarette on my deck, turn to my girlfriend and say: “God damn, need to get to class.” Get dressed. Eat breakfast.
– Amazed how I suddenly got into being.
– Remember dreams
– (optional, depending on time) Yoga 20 min – 2 hours. (Mostly 20 min)
– 30 min – 2 hour meditation. (Mostly 30 min, 1 hour)
– Cold shower
– No breakfast, I don’t eat untill 5 pm. Fasting is awesome.
– 2-3 times a week I run 5-15km.
These things aren’t fixed since I live together with my girlfriend and have a busy work/social schedule aswell.
Morning routine is a must tho.
