I don’t necessarily mean the most well known people, I mean, for you who has been the most inspirational and influential in your life (through reading/learning about them)?

I’ll start:
Bruce Lee
Dan Millman
David Deida
Albert Eistein
Alan Watts
Joseph Campbell

Malcolm X is a big one that shouldn’t be overlooked. Just read ‘The Autobiography of Malcolm X’, it’s a brilliant book that perfectly describes his transformations as a person and what kind of mentality it takes to improve the world.

There’s also Che Guevara, Gandhi, Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky..

Nice list. I read a quote of Bruce Lee’s on here recently and it sounded pretty rad. He must be more of a rad dude than I thought. I just read Dan Millman’s ‘Way Of The Peaceful Warrior’, has got some other cool books as well that you’d recommend?

My list would be short, but probably…

Alan Watts
Eckart Tolle
Steve Jobs
George Harrison
John Lennon
Krishnamurti
& Ram Dass

There’s probably more, but they are the big ones that come to mind.

Arnold Schwarzenegger (got me to respect the “art” of bodybuilding)
Bruce Lee (Everything you see ends up becoming self-knowledge)

I see a lot of Bruce Lee on here, which makes me very happy as he is one of the most inspirational people I’ve ever known of. A few of my other biggies are…

Albert Einstein-For being as smart in the heart as he was in the head
Ayn Rand-For teaching us to question the assumptions of morality
Charles Bukowski- For making the dark and grimy more beautiful than the sun
Martin Luther King Jr.- For proving that ideas are stronger than dogs and clubs
Ron Paul- For doing what was right in a profession that didn’t care

A few others that come to mind are JFK, John Steinbeck, Ray Kurzweil, Steve Jobs, and Daniel Day Lewis.
