My dream and the challenges of making it true.

FreeThinker (@Genti)5 years, 4 months ago

Hello everyone.

My dream is to be a screenwriter and work at Pixar animation studios.I love writing and it is something that I have been going for a very long time now.I write about everything on my life, starting from my personal diary where my most personal stuff is written,to movie reviews that I write anywhere I possibly can.The fact of the matter is that I unfortunately live in a quite poor and corrupted country.Plus, unfortunately the mentality here is the worst.Anyone who hears my dream reacts very weird and is very  nonsupporting, that also includes my family.I have been telling them that I want to move to USA for a very long time now and all about my dream but they constantly say that it is impossible for that to come true. Not to blame them though because after all their opinion is no different than the others.I am good at speaking English and studying in California would be a lifetime achievement.Pixar is amazing and the people there are very inspiring.I hope for the best in the future but it is very hard not to dwell on the fact that everybody seems to think that it is stupid and nonsense what I am reaching for and honestly sometimes it gets to me badly and I just cry endlessly. It’s quite easy for me to hate my life but I find peace at the fact that every dream can come true with hard work and determination.

Thank you for reading and I would like to know what is your dream and what challenges do you go through everyday.Peace.

Just go for your dream. I was studying chemistry and was not happy. In the meantime I enrolled film studies and I am the happiest person in the world. I will graduate in June. Where are you come from ?

How come ?  1389. ??? Does that year mean something.  Albanians are nothing than terrorists, and Kosovo is just artificial formation. That is a fact. Painful, but true.

You said Kosovo is part of Serbia but that is not the case and never was.Albanians are not terrorists the real stupid terrorists are Serbians who killed, raped millions in our country in 1998 and still claim to be good people. Why don’t you just apologize for what you’ve done and move on? We are all people, how dare you try to destroy our country and then after all the damage is done still claim to be in power ? What sort of humans does that make you ? Who are the real terrorists here ? When did we ever come to your country and destroy your houses kill your children, rape your women ? Anyways that’s not what my post is about so let’s try and leave it at that,

As you know Serbians are in Hague. Hahaaha you are in our country man. But I see you do not know history so I won’t go any further in discussion with you. By the way I do not hate anyone, even Albanians, who burned my house, kill my grandparents . Shame on you. Who killed the Serbs, who expel them from their country ? Albanians and Nato. Why ? That knows only Tachi

Hello. I think this sounds like a really cool dream. :)

If you want to move to America, do it. I am from America and knew many people who moved there from far off, poor countries to achieve their dreams. Maybe just visiting for a month or 2 first would be smart so you could know it’s what you truly want, before making a big move. It’s possible that you could find internships for the type of work you’re looking for. It’s true that your dreams can come true with hard work and determination, and if you’ve gotten good grades in school it’s possible you could get a scholarship for a University in California.

I think everyone has some type of dream that others would laugh off or disbelieve, and this makes most people give up on what they really want because they start believing it isn’t possible and settle for less.

Don’t let the doubters get you down. You have to believe that what you want is possible.

My dream is to make a living off of painting and writing that allows me to travel at the same time. This is the type of dream that a lot of people would also call “unrealistic”, but it’s what I want the most so I am going to try it. If it doesn’t work, I can always try something else, and that will be better than never having tried at all because I doubted myself too much to give it a chance. The challenges I go through every day are worrying that I won’t be able to do what I truly want and get stuck somewhere I don’t want to be, doing something I don’t want to do.

I also want to a novelist or screenwriter. And while some people, like my parents, support my dream, others react in a similar way to yours. What I’ve found is if people can’t do something, they try to convince you you can’t do it either. Not all people, but some. I am even guilty of it sometime. It’s a defense mechanism. Just realize that what people say has very little to do with you and everything to do with them. If that is really your dream then work everyday to achieve it. In the words of Chris Webby, “If you really got yourself a dream and you believe in it then follow it. And if they hate don’t worry bout the beef and shit. Just keep it moving everyday and not for any reason quit. Your friends will say your changing. A lot will turn theirs backs. Sure it’s just a job but nobody looks at it like that.”

I support you! Don’t evere give up! You have a dream, you really know what you want and that’s great! I think you should go to your dream, do your best for that, and never listen to anyone! Nothing new will be done by our creators if they  listen  to such thoughts of other people! The way to a dream can be difficult but that’s absolutely worth trying and doing! Believe in yourself and you will come to you dream! Make it real!

I actually don’t have any long-term dreams at this point.  I have a lot of shorter term, smaller scale “dreams” ( things that excite me that I want to do), and I know that if I follow those and stay on the path of following my short term desires, it will eventually lead to something bigger.
