New Age Fucktards!

Anonymous (@) 8 years, 10 months ago

OK. So I came across this video, and it may be one of the craziest videos I’ve seen. It’s a mixed religion thing. Alien-Jesus theory, or something like that. It is sort of long; 23 min, but it’s seriously fucked up so its worth it.

Please, I would love to hear others opinion on this here! :)

@iphenomena Well if you wanted opinions you started off in an offending way by calling out the “new age fucktards”. Well, I’m one of these fcuktards and I’m grabbing headphones to watch the video right now and share with you. Just don;t be so closed minded.

Its utter BS, and only the extremely deluded would consider this real.

What’s real to you isn’t real for someone else. If you open your mind and consider others views as having a possible chance of reality. You will discover much.

And you will learn about yourself and how you mirror things as creating your reality.

Your choice labelling is charged language for some. But you are welcome to your opinions.

Also defining your version of “crazy” is somewhat normal for someone else. We define our norms through habituation and culture and influence of the people closest to us in upbringings. Sometimes

Not even people;)

@fyrirrek, Yeah, but not everything is the truth, for example people who believe in creationism are crazy because there is absolutely no evidence for it.

I’m sorry to have offended you. The title was written in a moment of frustration. Actually tried to delete the post, but I see that I failed in doing so.
Anyways.. @fyrirrek, @lvxlqgic, I personally think that this isn’t about me being closed minded, because this is as far out as it gets. This is just christianity regurgitated with a crazy blend of alien superstition. I get pissed of by this because I think it’s people living in fear of losing their old beliefs, so instead of actually trying to open their mind and start using it to come up with their own opinion of what this whole reality could be, what our “purpose” as humanbeings are, what conciousness is, what the universe is, and so on, they become delusional and create a renewed version of their old beliefs. If humanity is gonna evolve from this encredibly violent and primitive (yet technological) race that we are now, we got to stop going into the same traps over and over again, and we got to stop hoping for some omnipotent being to come to our rescue. Maybe some encridibly advanced civilization of extra terrestrials will come in the near future, but we can’t just sit on our asses until that MIGHT happen. It’s absurd.

@iphenomena, I don’t get how this stuff frustrates people. You and I both know that video is nonsense, but it actually frustrates you? Why? Who cares if people like to believe in crazy whacky stories? I find them entertaining simply because it’s fun to see what people can come up with. They’re not hurting anyone with it; most New-Age circles promote loving everyone/ seeing everything as One so what’s so bad about it? I don’t necessarily support it, but I won’t go out of my way to ridicule them because that’s just being arrogant and rude.

@scott3600, I’ve tried explaining the Big Bang to some open-minded religious people (and by open minded I mean they barely know the Our Father but believe in a god nonetheless) and one mentioned a good point; for some it’s easier to believe that an intelligent person created all of this, and for others the idea that out of nothing somehow came everything is easier to believe. But when you break it down, there is a leap of faith in which ever you choose. I know that the the Big Bang theory proves how the universe evolved, but it doesn’t explain how it came into existence and anytime a religious person asks me to explain that to them I’m at a loss of words.

@iphenomena, I agree with you.

This is fucked up… saw the first 2 minutes and stopped it. I believe that these people have as closed a mind as it gets. It is really fucked up… but it is their choice in life, and a could not give less fucks, I just think it is a shame to lock ones life to something like that…

@shivvy, Well.. I went out of my way with this post, I realize that.
I just think it’s frustrating to see so many people buying into this kinda of craziness, and many gets lured into it. I think spiritual ideas like these and most religions are a holdback to our very development, so I kinda think it is harmful. I like the idea that many of the circles promotes love in that manner. But can’t you just do that and not bring the whole irrrational “Alien-Jesus” -craziness into the picture? I don’t get why we need to do that, but I guess I maybe just need to accept it.
Thanks for the slap on the wrist though. Puts things in perspective.

@fyrirrek, Where do you draw the line?

If I told you that if you pray every night for the ability to fly around you will eventually be able to would you believe me?

If I told you that the sun is actually just a hole in the sky into something else would you believe me?

Where do you draw the line?

Fyrirrek (17) (@fyrirrek) 8 years, 9 months ago ago

@ijesuschrist, I would tell you as a creator and part of the universe i draw the line at the necessary point related to my core experience and understanding that is exactly sufficient nothing less nothing more. Because I am the artist and as artists we know the line is not really even there but a perception imposed

And my sun has cool shades and a smiley face on it saying what the fission is going on here?

@fyrirrek, that was as clear as mud.

@ijesuschrist, I believe what @fyrirrek(correct me if I’m wrong in this btw), needs a bit of a background in which I feel I may be able to add. Where fyrirrek comes from is the thought pattern that through thought and labeling we have created our existence, such as the title labels new age spirituality and its believers as “fucktards”. His point that “I am the artist and as artists we know the line is not really even there but a perception imposed” basically just means that he has come to the understanding that everything we as humanity have created is only meaningful in the eyes of our own species and that really there is no line to be drawn from a natural perspective and everything is created by the mind. Even further experience is only created out of your will to experience it and that will comes from your conscious decision to partake in the even of being “alive” in this plane of existence which is all one must necessarily know or need to know, everything past that is just created by our mind.

:) you bring with everything an intention which affects the outcome of your question

Clear as mud yes as to see crystal clear you would probably have to dig first. Surface level thinking is only that.

All labels bring with it an energy and perhaps your judgements close doors that would otherwise be ready to receive you

New age is a label that some gladly roll with and a generalization of a school of thought.

Whatever you say think or do ultimately reflects on you. No one answers except yourself.

Everyone is a unique individual on an evolving path consisting of their own questions If we push too hard for
answers they may not show.

Not everyone can or will transform their way of perceiving over night.

You are probably close to your answer and dont give up but see around your way of thinking also they are hints of hot and cold. But be careful what you call a negatively charged name not all things play nice. Such answers can hit you in the face hard. We want to know but sometimes when we find out perhaps it was more trouble than we bargained for because we did not take it easy on our mind or others.

And thank you Mr Wylde

I totally get what you’re saying now, the reason I guess it didn’t make sense is because its completely out of context.

My initial response was to this:
“What’s real to you isn’t real for someone else.”

Although I understand our perception is subjective, there are things that are bound in all perceptions, no matter how “free” you believe you are. There are “real” things…

Nobody does not experience gravity. Which is why I said no amount of prayer or hope or understanding will ever remove your body from the bounds of gravity, unless you are praying while on missile.
