So I’ve been trying this challenge out for the whole semen retention aspect of it (while applying the tibetan rites in my daily routine), but I recently had the most massive wet dream I’ve ever had in life lol. And I cant even remember the last time I’ve even had one. Anybody have any experience with something like this? Bcs if this is what my body is gonna do every time I try to do this I dont see much of a point..

Dear friends… I began this thread, I don’t know how long ago. But I can only say one thing…
How much I’ve changed!
After giving up porn, I understood the hold it had on me. But not just porn, tv and entertainment in general. I would put facebook in the same category. A true addiction..
However, after giving this up and alcohol I have seen the changes it can bring into your personal life. Freeing yourself from anything is truly living.
I have seen maybe a clip or two of porn in the past year, but I have enjoyed sex more than ever. My time with porn has helped me to develop some skills in the bedroom, I won’t deny that… However, the addiction to porn or any other thing goes WWAAAYYY further than what we may think.
It’s a matter is reassessing yourself and the way you view things. Giving something up for a few days can help anyone out tremendously on the path to growth.
I reccomend all who have subscribed to this thread and have vowed to give up porn try something else and not just porn or masturbation…
I have never had problems with alcohol but I gave it up just to see how I felt. I felt great. Now I drink and enjoy one or 2 beers. I can achieve a perfect buzz with one wine glass or the afore mentioned 2 beers…
Self control is the ultimate goal.. I reccomend that we all grow together. We are all growing together.

@zanelee, your mind isn’t right yet brother. I have practiced semen retention for almost a year now. When masturbating and during sex… I have only felt great, reenergized and revitalized. No wet dreams ever…. Because you see, it’s not a matter of mind over body… No. It’s a matter of making these two wonderful, perfect, spiritual things work together. Your mind and your body collaborating to express the perfect self expression of you…

If you truly wish to master anything, forget everything you have read. Turn off your computer and STOP doing research and just listen to yourself. Listen to your body. Picture the image of yourself you wish to express and then channel all of your energy and words into becoming that… Make the experience what it is you want it to be… Otherwise, you will always be expecting something, or thinking it should be something else when really, it already is what it is. Just open your eyes and define what the experience is for you.

I’m taking up the cause! Will be a hard road but am interested to see how it changes my attitude and view towards it… Or I may just wake up one morning with a sticky sensation in my bed. Whichever cums first I suppose!

@emjay, Wow, I didn’t think of it that way going in, although I vaguely remember having a feeling to see it that way before “it” happened lol. If it makes any difference I was also experimenting with fasting for a few days and cold showers too, maybe I was stacking my plate to high? Anyways, I’m still doing this challenge and even though that incident occurred I have undoubtedly experienced the benefits talked about. I have noticed increased energy, sharper focus, more initiative in social matters, determination, a sense of wholeness or connection to life, the list goes on. I’ve decided that this is gonna be something I do for the rest of my life, unless the time comes to make a baby or something. Thanks for the profound advice dude.

@zanelee, man Im so glad that the challenge has had good results for you also. I cannot fully describe all of the benefits but i know that definitely my entire mind has changed since I began this challenge, however it wasn’t the only thing on my plate. I also began working out and changing my eating habits. I changed religion, well, actually I stopped being a part of any religion and I gave up alcohol for a while. It was a combination of many things, but just simply having control of myself with no porn and no masturbation for a few weeks helped me to regain all of my power back. It’s truly an amazing feeling.

@emjay, Indeed it is, I was pretty much on the same boat as you. Except my problem was weed (now that I think about it I coincidently have had a stronger will to let go of the habit). Never fancied the drink as much as most people do. Just like you I have taken up working out, eating healthy, and I too have begun to empty my cup from many old beliefs that I felt held me back in life. I must say this is a fine thread, its lead me to question the majority of problems men have. Who knows what kind of solution this could possibly be if most men ceased to shoot their seed out almost every god damned day and took up this somewhat esoteric practice.

Going for it AGAIN (Yes, I’ve failed before)! Also, no weed. None!

@zanelee, How’s the challenge been going for you, man?

More than a year without porn now and have done the no porn no masturbation for 30 days 2 or 3 times.

Many many advantages, definitely not going back to watching porn again. Keep up the good work guys! Trust me, it is totally worth it.

Oh my, how interesting. I actually don’t masturbate at all. Never have. It actually seems a bit foreign to me that people would have such a problem giving it up.

No porn and no ejaculaing without porn. There was a time 2 months ago where it was heavy for me. So I suddenly started to question it because it made me moody and tired. So I decided to experiment on not jacking off. I let 5 days pass, I swear to you I felt much better as in energetic. I never went 5 days without ejaculating lol. But anyway, I started to research the importance of semen then I ended up researching semen retention. Guys!….Do research on this and you will find how nutrient dense our sperm is and how important it is for our brain. *0% of our semen contain lecithin….which is important for our brain. Also, everytime we ejaculate, we let go of 15mg of zinc!.

@vedran, “For those that haven’t read the testimonial at “your brain on porn” here is a pdf with a LOT of them, definitely worth a look!

http://www.reuniting.info/download/pdf/0.BENEFITS.pdf

I read about 30 of them and I’m really shocked at the amount of negative sides of porn, and the positives of quitting porn.

I’m really stoked about this now!”
best thing, I read about this topic, ever

Alright, I would really love to dive in whole heartily to no masturbating. I can’t seem to figure out what my problem is, but whenever I get turned on or even think a sexual thought i immediately turn to go jack off.
Today I was just looking at underwear and boom, ended up masturbating.
Can someone please offer some advice that worked for them?!

Jordan (3) (@MoonMan) 7 years, 4 months ago ago

@iluvdamusic thanks for bumping this, bro..I would’ve never seen the thread. I’m 100% in! I’ve been reading YBOP, and there is some really great stuff on there that I never knew, or that I didn’t want to believe. I have experienced severe feelings of just being disconnected from life, almost like living in a dream-state, and I HATE it. I feel so useless and like I’m just on a conveyer belt going through my days, and I’m never really in control of my thoughts or actions. I’m starting to think that porn is the cause of this disconnection, as it sounds similar to the “brain fog” symptoms that people are reporting.

Filip (2,818)M (@filipek) 7 years, 4 months ago ago

@iluvdamusic, Hey

I would advise you to start reading on http://yourbrainonporn.com and see how much information you can get out of it. I got almost all my information from there when I started with this challenge. I have watched some youtube video’s as well (which you can also find on that website) and basically all the information I needed at that time.

It is kind of hard to give advise on how to stop getting excited, I mean, that is just how nature made us. You choose however whether or not you are going to masturbate or not. The first weeks are very difficult, I had a lot of cravings and urges to turn on my computer, look for porn and masturbate, but it fades away after a while.

It is not that hard as you think it is, you just have to change your perspective and convince yourself that you do not need to do so. It can be pathologic and as with everything that becomes pathologic it can be very damaging and destructive.

What worked for me in the beginning is to avoid these kind of situations which could lead me to getting excited. You cannot avoid anything and you cannot avoid your thoughts, but doing other activities can definitely help. Difficult periods are periods when you are ‘bored’ and you do not have anything to do. If you can get passed these initial cravings and urges, it will be easy.
Find some distractions whenever you feel the need to watch porn and masturbate, that should help.

Anyway, good luck with the challenge, and all the others who get involved as well! I really really advise all men to read about the potential harming and dangerous effects of watching porn. It messes you up man, and fucks up your sexual life for sure.

You do not need to watch porn, you know how to do it yourself, even if you think you do not.

I finally conquerd my nicotine habit (2 months) so I think I’ll do this now that I know I have the will power.

Filip (2,818)M (@filipek) 7 years, 4 months ago ago

@jreynolds789, I will try to make a habit out of bringing this thread up every once in a while, cause I think it is so beneficial and I think it is a common problem suffered by a lot of young adults and teenagers.

[Hidden]
Filip (2,818)M (@filipek) 7 years, 4 months ago ago

@spaceghost, This is easier, quit my nicotine habit 2 years ago (smoked quite some, 1 to 2 packs a day) but I became a ‘social’ smoker now, smoking on parties from time to time, and it is still pulling. This challenge is a lot easier, trust me! You do not need the porn. You will enjoy fantasising so much more again, and you can come up with anything you want. With porn you are limited to what you get, and most of the time you are not satisfied with what you get anyway, hence: you search for more and more extreme porn. Instead of watching 1 porn movie, you watch 100 in 10 minutes because you get bored.

Really, DO IT, all of you guys! Stop watching porn movies so obsessively, it really fucks up your mind and perspective on women.
This is one thing I encourage everybody to do (the challenge), I am not that persuasive with other things most of the time because I think it is everybody their own choice what they do, but we are not aware of the negative effects porn has on us, therefore I try to spread the word and bring in the awareness.

QUIT THIS SHIT FOREVER!

PS: After more than one year of doing this challenge (customised after the first couple 30 days), I was really curious how it would be again with porn. Did it once and I saw all the old habit patterns and urges coming back. Frightening ! But it only proved me the good track I am following.

[Hidden]
YHVH (462) (@spaceghost) 7 years, 4 months ago ago

@filipek, Yea, I’ve smoked 2 after the initial 30 days. Pretty pointless. I didn’t get bummed about it though. It only solidified my intention.

As for this new challenge, it’s been swimming in my head for some time, and everything everyone on here is saying is so encouraging, I’m actually stoked to do it.
