I wanted to share the flow that came over me this morning. Any inspired responses are more than welcome. I love hearing others’ stream of consciousness.

The ocean is never still. Never on the shore do your toes touch the water, and in that moment, have the water hold on as dearly. The water pulls, and with it your will to grip the gritty coast. Had the waves been powerful enough, had your dreams escaped you momentarily, the cleanliness of the coral and sprawling ocean floor would caress you until your mind had been rid of its illusion. Though, a shaky breath awakens your nerves and the breeze, cool in its eternal dance, seals the open door of your soul. And only for a second, just before the rain of confusion begins to cloud your perceptions, you feel the tingling in your bones deeper than any desire could venture. The memory of it, far after it subsides, is what brings you back to the waters edge. Had that been the unity of risk and acceptance? Had you truly felt different? Separate from this world? For once in tune as the rippling of reality fades. Yet, with each adventure and escape, you find you had been different all along. That it was not the glasses that you need to remove, but your fear of already knowing. And as the waves wash up and into your soul, with it it takes the confusion until you are nothing but a vessel, open and awaiting the next wave that will carry your soul home.

“That it was not the glasses that you need to remove, but your fear of already knowing.” Chills…. I feel you, I really do.
