Straight to it.. I play guitar, will master the guitar in a couple years & I’m trying to mimic some things that great guitarists have done like train my ears to hear sound and physically be able to transfer it onto the guitar eventually resulting in being able to fully express myself from the sounds within me and creating music… So if you have any links, tips, advice on this topic please let me know
Also, if you hear Led Zepplin, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Lucky Peterson, (Blues) (Jazz) (Psychedelic) genres… etc…
Tell me some of your favorite songs from these artists or artists alike.. I’m trying to strictly listen to music that i want to integrate within me.
Thanks for the help!
a friend of mine does listen whatever music and transfer it to the guitar and can play it in less than a minute, maybe if you try with any kind of music you get more “practice” or more fluent as you can make whatever you listen to, and then u listen what you really want and is more vivid. I dont know, i just wanted to support and hope you the best because i can’t really help much haha im sorry
but yes you can help!! by asking your friend about it haha I’m really trying to get the most knowledge about it and from someone experienced like your friend, his insight would help tons!
Favorite Zeppelin songs include (but are not limited to): Travelling Riverside blues, Black Mountainside, Ten Years Gone, Bron Y aur Stomp, Poor Tom, Friends, Carouselambra, In the Light, Gallows Pole, Friends, When the Levee Breaks, In my Time of Dying, ETC.
Pink Floyd favorites are Echoes, Have a Cigar, Not Now john, Fearless, Run like Hell, One of my Turns, ANY COLOUR YOU LIKE. If you want a really bluesy Floyd song, listen to Seamus.
The Allman brothers are bluesy as fuck and amazing, the album Enlightened Rogues captures this sound quite well.
May I also suggest some Grateful Dead? They play a wide variety of genres. Some bluesier songs of theirs are New Minglewood Blues, and Viola Lee Blues, (if you’re going to listen to the latter, find the ’67 San Francisco version). Happy music-ing!
Did you know there was this whole speel about Roger Waters censoring Syd Barett’s music on youtube? Weird stuff. My favorite song from them:
