Personal paranormal/metaphysical experiences

If you’ve ever experienced anything like this please share in detail. Ghosts, spirits, Ouiji experiences, strange energies, powerful dreams, astral projections, etc…. Experiences that even when you use your best skeptical detective skills, the experience still leaves you wondering…

When I was very young I was wide awake lying in my bed, and I watched a shadow of a picture frame in the hall way grow into the shadow of a man, and It started walking cautiously. Naturally I screamed and I watched the shadow run back into the original shadow…. I was young, but it was so surreal and I know I wasn’t asleep.

More recently, when I was a freshman in high school, my friends and I were messing with a psychic circle, we wanted to test it so instead of using the glass piece, we used a heavy glass bowl….it still glided smoothly across the surface with us barely touching it. The spirit we believed we were communicating with started getting angry at me, telling me to leave and to go die…. I started to feel sick and dizzy out of no where.

What are some of your experiences?

I swear my old apartment was haunted. lol. One night me & one of my roommates were sitting on the couch watching Conan O’brien or some bullshit on tv. We were completely sober, didn’t smoke or anything. I was wide awake. The next thing I know, I wake up freaking out because I felt like I had overslept and was late to work.. I look at the clock & only like 10 minutes had passed. The same exact show was still on the tv. I was so confused. So I’m looking around trying to figure out why I feel the way I do. Out of no where my roommate sits up from behind the couch and he’s like “How the fuck did I end up back here?” I thought he was playing around but he was really freaked out. He was also really dazed and confused and had no recollection of anything that just happened. Like I swear he cried that night he was so scared. I have no idea what the hell could have happened to us that night. A lot of weird shit happened in that apartment.

@splashartist, of all the possible things we came up with that could have happened, aliens never crossed our minds lol. Wish we had some sort of cameras set up to capture footage of what happened. We’ll never know.

I say this with NO IDEA where/how/when this came about. I do not know if it was a dream, a fabrication, or reality.

2 years ago I was sitting on my bed talking to my girlfriend about ghost stories. I had a few, but really I knew there was an explanation, but I liked telling them anyway. When I was half way through telling one, something hit me with the weight a freight train and I almost had the wind knocked out of me. A memory so powerful arose in my mind that I couldn’t breath.

The memory was me, walking up my stairs at age about 7 or 8. The lights were off and I was so petrified that there was a ghost upstairs (serious fear of this until I turned 14). I walked up the stairs and something wasn’t right. I walked away from my bedroom, and I found myself in the bathroom (the feeling is coming again) which is not used.

The bathroom is like a murder scene at my dad’s house. The toilet had been ripped out, the bathtub hadn’t been used for years and had rust rings all around it. When I walked in I looked in the mirror and something was really wrong. VERY, very wrong. I started feeling like I was floating and things weren’t real. Like I was dreaming, but it was way too real. The room started to change, and the walls started melting. The memory becomes extremely hazy here and I only get bits and pieces, only feelings. And the feelings are not pleasant at all.

I cannot remember what happened, but I wiped it from my memory. For fucks sake I was in college when I remembered it again – 10 years. I don’t know what happened. The feeling is so fresh and unlike anything else I’ve ever experienced. A fear so raw and so powerful even death seems manageable. I wish I knew. Or maybe I don’t.

In all probability it was probably the most horrifying nightmare I’ve ever had, and had no place in reality. But I have no way of knowing.

@iambrian, there was one room in my grans house which had the most horrible energy. Every time time I tried to sleep in there I had this awful overwhelming feeling of darkness weighing down on me, and I don’t know how else to describe it other than a great feeling of impending doom. I told my gran I couldn’t sleep in there to which she replied ‘yeah, there’s some bad energy in there’.

I used to live near a disused train track. I would have been about 10 and one day when I was walking home from school I remember everything becoming weirdly still, and then as clear as day…I heard a train. A few days later I was walking with a friend in the exact same place…he stops dead, looks at me and says, ‘did you just hear that train?’. I didn’t, not that time anyway.

When my grandad was in hospital, we hung a small crystal in his window, and it cast beautiful rainbows all over the room. We would talk about it to my grandad regularly, even though he wasnt responding. Me and my sister had just come from there and were at her house. We were just chilling when the small crystal she hangs in her window started vibrating, we couldn’t figure out what it was at first. As we went to take a look it started moving more and more, really just going a bit crazy hitting off the window. It must have been doing it for a good couple of minutes and we did start to get a bit freaked out. At that point I simply said ‘stop’ pretty firmly, and it did. We just started to calm down, and I got a phone call from my mum. She said my grandad had just passed away. Man I dunno, could be nothing, but it was preeeeetty weird.

@siantastic, That is very interesting, people say crystals carry a bunch of energy, or have something to do with energy, I don’t know much about all that, but that is a cool story.
