preserving sexual energy

dewdrop (@dewdrop) 7 years, 2 months ago

hello all,

Ive been doing quite a bit of research on spiritual celibacy and preserving your sexual energy and  fluids. im wondering just what exactly constitutes as sexual fluid. obviously semen for men. but what about for woman? is it just what is released at the time of orgasm? or what about the arousal fluids? like just from kissing? should u be avoiding any level of affection that produces any level of arousal at all? thanks a bunch for any input :)

That could be really difficult for women, just being around a certain type of person can “arouse the fluids”.

What are your thought on celibacy, sexual, thus far?

Well, from what ive learned thus far, the preservation of sexual energy and fluids can have astounding positive affects on your overall health. Down to a cellular level. im currently celibate and have been for a few months, however, ive spent the majority of my life being very sexually active. I plan to stay celibate for atleast a year total. My intention is to be the best me that i can possibly be. Express my fullest potential and have lots of fun along the way. I feel that learning to preserve and channel my sexual energy can have profound affect on my life and help greatly improve the overall quality of my experiences

You don’t even necessarily have to be celibate to preserve the sexual energy especially as a woman.  There are sexual practices which allow one to engage in sexual activity without losing vitality. There are a few names for these practices, but tantric sex is what people are most familiar with.

The main difficulty with tantra is finding a partner who understands it and is willing to practice it.

Okay read this, basically you don’t bring yourself to orgasm, but having an erection is perfectly healthy for you and maintains your penis, E.G blood flow with all the oxygen

but read this

There’s your answer, you can boost your testosterone if you want.

girls get more “horny” the longer they abstain just like guys.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10367606

Excess prolactin will blunt testosterone release, and dopamine release typically blunts prolactin, thus raising testosterone

excess prolactin can even shut down the HPTA

The conservation of sexual energy requires the presence of sexual energy. Which means unsatisfied arousal.

This is true, you have to redirect it elsewhere, you build yourself up to the sensitivity, to higher degrees, but do not reach “satisfying arousal”

This isn’t true, actually turning up the sexual currents if far more pleasurable and satisfying than a quick orgasm.

Imagine a 3 hour orgasm, or a day long orgasm or even a week long orgasm.

This is what it feels like.

For women sexual vitality is primarily lost through menstration and childbirth.

According to many esoteric sources, it is possible to turn up the sexual currents and minimize or even eliminate menstration.  Not being a woman, I have never had a chance to test these theories out, but I can tell you for men they absolutely do work.
