Psychedelic Music

Anonymous (@) 8 years, 9 months ago

I’ve been on the search for more music since I get bored fast. What i mean by psychedelic music is something you can trip to on psychedelics and have a good trip. But also psychedelic sounding music. For Example…

If you don’t have music like this then give me some of your favorites.

Tame Impala – It Feels Like We Only Go Backwards
The Drums – Me & The Moon (Matthew Dear Remix)
This Will Destroy You – A Three-Legged Workhorse, Burial In The Presidio Banks
My Morning Jacket – My Morning Jacket, Outta My System
The Beatles – Dear Prudence
Tycho – Daydream
Dream Koala – We Can’t Be Friends, Roofies
Explosions In The Sky – The Moon Is Down
Fracx – Serenity
Band Of Horses – Detlef Schrempf, The Funeral
XXYYXX – About You
James Blake – Lindesfarne II
Mr. Carmack
Passion Pit

Thanks a lot.

Listen to the album Odgens Nutgone Flake by The Small Faces from start to finish while your tripping, trust me. This is the first track; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqS721yggyw

The self titled album by The Stone Roses is great for a molly roll so I imagine it would be good for a trip too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuPfbfJm2rc

The album Hot Rats by Frank Zappa; especially Willie The Pimp. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5I8k5WQlfI

Pink Floyd- Pipers at the Gates of Dawn (album)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmW17QvUhRM

or any Syd Barret solo stuff.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29Fm-83FCvg

More beatles (just in case, can’t go wrong with the beatles);
-Love You Too
-Only Sleeping
-She Said
-Revolution No.9 (possible freakout)
-Within you, Without you
-Abbey road (from start to finish)

Have a happy magic fun time.

Has anyone here listened to Boards of Canada? I have quite an obsession with them and as I have yet to trip while listening to them I’m sure they would provide interesting outcomes.

Wide variety ^ check them. Warning : being stoned may increase awesomeness of music.

I’m 22 and not really into all of this electronic b.s. that the younger generations are into but am open minded towards new music but dont really like the direction the that music is going into.

and im out.

@smokeup1, Ever heard of Grizzly Bear? They’ve got some super trippy stuff, not trippy like overwhelm you with noise, but they just have an incredibly unique and haunting sound.

They’ve been described as “the Beach Boys on cough syrup” (although I’m not sure this does them justice)

Try this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbhO7rsnAz0

Or: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwP2R1YEjzg

They’re always on my playlist during a shroom trip.
