Qi, Ki or Prana

This is my first post so bare with me here. I have recently been hooked on this site and it has inspired me to read a few books on qigong. I think I understand it pretty well, but it has led me to a few questions. I have recently been watching a few documentaries on the universe being a simulation of some sort, and one of the most recent videos on this site at the moment has to do with a code within the string theory. It is speculated there is this code that is self correcting and allows for no error in the physics of our universe. But say by the use of qi, and truly understanding space around us, these ancient stories of incredible feats from masters of qigong and other practices found around the world, they were able to manipulate the world around them to their own free will. Does anybody want to either confirm or deny my insanity? Or is this all plausible thinking.

@geeyouwhy, You’re not insane haha. Everyone thinks about this kind of stuff. We’ve never ”seen” evidence of it being a real thing, but a lot of people believe in it (kinda like God). Personally, I like thinking about this stuff just because it’s interesting; it doesn’t have to be real for me to enjoy thinking about it. The fact that you’re skeptical about it shows you’re not ramming it down people’s throats, which is good. Just research it as much as possible and then make your own call :)

Dragonball Z man. You may not have realized that was a really long documentary lol! Seriously though, I’m with you on this :)

it is not crazy to think that what you are wondering about is possible. in fact, it is possible. chi/ki/qi is actual. and Qi Gong/Chi Kung is a great way to learn how to control and manipulate. not only is Qi Gong a great way, but it may just be the first method used to obtain control over one’s personal energy. but to practice Qi Gong, do not neglect any of its teachings(Dynamic Patterns, Self-Manifested Chi Movement, Quiescent Breathing and Silent Sitting), for if only one teaching is focused on, then all that is available to you will remain ‘hidden’. but im sure in the books you have read, they have not neglected to mention this. as for the code in string theory that states there is no room allowed for error, these ‘great feats’ you speak of preformed by the Great Masters are not error in physics. they are simply possibilities of what may be achieved within the realm of physics if one has the proper training. the only reason why what they do seems so majestic or ‘god-like’ is because over time these teaching have become thin spread and those who know much about them are far and few between. now it would seem that the teaching of Wu Shu is once again on the rise, but i believe it will be some time before it is as wide spread as it probably should be. now, as for evidence- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAV5avfDBiw – check this link. yeah yeah, there are skeptics out there, but fact of the matter is with training you can begin to feel the energy flow inside you and what is shown in this video begins to seem more or more likely. and never doubt it. because if you doubt it, even in the slightest, you will lock your mind and prevent yourself for moving forward.

@shivvy, I feel that the best way to approach topics like this is a bit passive, just in case I might have deeply offended someone else’s belief system.
@cosmiclemonade, I was obsessed with that show. I have never been able to shake how cool it would be if ki was real, and now with my recent interest, it turns out that show might just be closer to non fiction than fiction.
@cgbush, I totally understand what you mean. People who are skeptics think that in order for something to be true it must be published by someone with credibility, when in reality, Eastern stories were passed down from generation to generation by word of mouth in small villages, like how John Chang in this video first learned.
@shivvy, @cosmiclemonade, @cgbush, Thank you all for responding to my question. This has given me reassurance that the High Existence community are wonderful people who are open to all sorts of ideas. I can’t wait to post again because I have a ton of questions that need to be answered, or at least talked about within this community. Thanks again!
