It seems to me that we’re living in a society that places so much importance on race, as if somebody’s skin colour means something about who they are. The way I see it, race is just an illusion. It’s like this; if someone was driving a white car with tinted windows, you wouldn’t confuse the car with the person driving it, would you? Even if the windows were tinted. I’m aware that if you are a member of this site then yo probably understand this to some extent but I just felt like addressing it because I know that most people never really think about it.
I’m aware that there’s no self-promotion allowed but I feel like if there are people who can grasp the message in my music, it’ll most likely be people on this site. I’m afraid that this post willl probably be deleted though which sucks because I have been visiting here for a while and just had this idea of writing out the message behind my songs in detail and then sharing the songs with you, whoever you are reading this.
So if this gets deleted atleast I know I tried and if not then thats great and i’d love to read your take on this idea of race being an illusion.
Well, heres the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIXBCL605Vg
IMO, race is only skin deep, but it generally can tell you a lot about a person. Specifically their heritage and culture. While a persons skin color doesnt mean much when it comes to the type of person some one is, their culture does. I think most racism is simply culturism. Honestly it is the culture of a person that most usually turns someone off from that person. While everyone can call it racism, it truly doesnt have to do with someone hating you because you are black or brown or purple for that matter. Peoples behaviour is usually indicitive or their culture and environment. This is what “racist” people hate about other races, their behaviour.
