There are heavy questions that most of conscious humans bear on the back of their conscious minds but don’t often indulge in due to their complexity of being hard to comprehend; What is the source of one’s life? What is reality? What is life? What is death? Are they four sides of the same coin? Or are they two entirely different coins? Can we have one without the other? Does the value of one depend on the other?
So let’s indulge into what science has to expain –
@curenature, I really liked the article and I believe we transcend to another dimension after we die.. you might like this article: http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/2012/10/07/proof-of-heaven-a-doctor-s-experience-with-the-afterlife.html
I thought it was extremely interesting..
I like the conclusion of this article about healthy skepticism. The part about the best explanation of NDEs kind of threw me though. There have been cases of people being completely brain dead, with monitors to prove it that have had NDEs, so it couldn’t have been a result of the brain.
I think that if we are all recycled matter, then we may be recycled consciousness, too.
@emmaclaire, The core, the stem, the pineal or the life giving force, possesses a greater life sense level than the upper brain which is its subordinate and therefore the former can be thought of as the soul. If the upper brain gets stimulated with electrical inceptions as done in the epileptic experiments or sleep induced delusions, it can misfire however the soul holds its stance and is able to re-spark the brain back in its senses again, through which people come back and explain their experience. But it is this sense of being a soul that I believe makes us indispensable and everlasting.
