Rocking/Negativity During Meditation

I don’t meditate a lot, but in my first meditations I would be completely still. Now, the last few times I’ve meditated, I’ve been rocking back and forth and this last time its turned into a circling motion after the side to side rocking.

Can someone explain what significance this may have?

Also, this last time that I’ve meditated, curse words popped into my head when I was trying to focus, and it seemed like I had to ignore the negativity but I wasn’t actively thinking about anything bad. I just chanted love over and over in my head because I thought that would overpower the things I started thinking about out of nowhere. These kinds of things haven’t happened to me before, and I also feel like I achieved better meditations when I first started as opposed to now. I’m just not exactly sure what’s going on…

swaying is being in sync. the more we try to reveal the darkness from our mind, the more we have to face every thing that is in there.

chanting love is a good last resort. when negativity is d-daying your beach then thats where mantras will help overwhelm persistent attacks from the subconscious.

I usually rock or circle subtly.. even in stillness there is an inner spinning that changes direction at will. Letting words surface can be a door to intuition. That’s my experience, but there is no authority except your own science.

Sounds like beginning stages of astral projection, there are a lot of posts about it on the site. I wouldn’t be so quick to write off the experiences as negative.. keep an open mind and just be an observer to the phenomenon, see where it takes you.
