I thought i noticed it, but my god. It was worse then I thought. How are they getting away with this shit? Obviously the Gov. has an agenda, who wouldn’t want RP in office?

If only he would keep the EPA and FDA I would have voted for him.

@ijesuschrist, Interesting. Do you know why he didn’t plan on keeping them?

@staylucky, Yes because they are a form of governmentation, consume massive amounts of money and constrict freedoms.

@ijesuschrist, Fair enough. I guess with Ron Paul he kind of has to have that approach though because otherwise his stance on things make him more hypocritical. His ideas might seem radical but it doesn’t really allow him to hover on things. They’re either in or out.

@ijesuschrist, I dont think he would take them out completely per se. I think he’d atleast leave it to the people. I mean i know hes smart enough not to stop testing drugs and let the environment be destroyed lol i think he wanted to give the power back to the people. But yeah he should have explained himself better on that.

I voted for him. I’d vote for him for the rest of my life, no matter how many government bureaucracies he wanted to get rid of. Some things are a little more important in my mind.

RadiantChild (106) (@rattailbaby) 8 years, 9 months ago ago

@bobbylloydxd, Agreed. Anythings better than what we’ve been having.

The government is a bipolar propaganda machine – you’re force fed the ‘lesser’ of two evils – keeps revolutionaries like RP out of office. The people want it this way. We love our “stable” little system. It wasn’t like this in the 1800s when revolution was the norm. We’re sad, right?
To hell in a hand basket.
Onward, citizens. Growth and expansion until we turn on each other.

I’m Canadian and even I was hoping Ron Paul would become president. I watched the debate and he totally destroyed everyone. For once I was nodding my head in agreement with so much of his responses.

@bobbylloydxd, like fucking all regulations on nature and pollution?

I don’t have anything more important on my mind.

[Hidden]
RadiantChild (106) (@rattailbaby) 8 years, 9 months ago ago

@ijesuschrist, That wouldnt happen though.

RadiantChild (106) (@rattailbaby) 8 years, 9 months ago ago

@luigiblue, Hahah ive never seen so many people want a leader for another country. Everywhere i look its like, Im from England, Im from Canada, and i hope RP wins lol its crazy. Again more proof RP got cheated

@ijesuschrist, So your a one issue man then. Thats fine. You might feel a little different if you were an Afghani man. What with the fear of American soldiers breaking into your home and killing you. I mean if you don’t want to take all of the damage going on in the middle east into account thats your deal, but don’t try to make other people feel bad for having different angles on their political views. RP would end so many wars, war on drugs, war on freedoms, war on terror. Kind of big deals to a lot of people.

I’ll take the good with the bad and elect an honest man over a Rockefeller puppet any day of the week.

Ron Paul is a fantastic man! Obamney 2012 was a terrible year for choices. I thought it was strange the Republicans felt that Romney was a good choice. They picked him because they knew “Perry” types would lose to this Left leaning nation. Then they tried to garner conservative/libertarian votes by forcing Romney through this mold. Democrats were much too scared by Romney than they should’ve been. He’s more like them than they think.
Paul though… talk about a completely different option that we just threw away. =/
$16 trillion and counting >.<'

@ijesuschrist, may i ask who you voted for instead?
….you do realize the FDA’s deputy commissioner was the Vice President for Monsanto right? FDA is a joke and so is the EPA. https://twitter.com/scrubed01/status/305775872617639936/photo/1

@7dabs, Jim is right on the money here. FDA are the people who approve chemical additives in cigarettes, yet want to ban e cigs. I guess the money from big tobacco talks.

FDA is trash.

Ron Paul will get his chance. He will be our ‘savior’

It’s all part of the deception.

@spaceghost, Nah man, dude is old. He’s too old to ‘keep up the good fight’.

@ballsackturtles23, Yea. Someone like him will get in. We will welcome him. He will be no different though, because this isn’t a democracy, and the president is a scapegoat. They (the people behind the curtain) will use him to gather the masses and convince that yes, we do want fucked in the ass, with crushed glass as lube.

@bobbylloydxd, No, dude. I would die for a mother nature. There isn’t much else I would die for. To some how belittle my love for nature, have at it but you’re not going to poke a hole in this. All the world all the societies can get wiped out and I wouldn’t give a damn, as long as nature and evolution live on. All these other problems are bullshit covered in bullshit covered in ego. Pretending things matter, pretending you matter, pretending any single person matters.

People don’t matter. The system, the ecological system is what matters to me.

@7dabs, I’m well aware of the revolving door.

Nobody on this entire site seems to realize that if you take away the fucking FDA and EPA, regardless of all their bad shit, their paradoxical logic, their stupid games, mother nature would be GONE. We would be the second beijing, only country wide. All pollution regulation would be in the shitter. Yellow stone, yosemite, the ozarks, all gone for mining drilling and so forth. Logging would be a pandemic. No park would be safe. The HOH rainforest would be for the history books. Your air would be clogged and disgusting.

Its not that the EPA and FDA are smart, its that people in America are fucking stupid. There are people who would rather buy a truck with 10mpg than the same truck with 15mpg cause thats how they express their freedom. Companies dont give a flying shit if you like to hike or camp or explore nature. They care about money. And your money in a capitalistic system (ron paul’s system) would not hold up to Monsanto buying up fertile land, or Chevron drilling in yellowstone. You’re all a bunch of fools if you think otherwise. Stop being religious about Ron Paul and evaluate shit. You’re all so eager to get on any new-age bus without questioning crap
And whoever asked, I voted for jill stein of course.

Bobby (190) (@bobbylloydxd) 8 years, 9 months ago ago

@ijesuschrist, If people dont matter and all that matters is the ecological system, you are way too concerned about something that doesn’t need your concern. There is nothing that humans can do to destroy Earth or Nature. We can destroy ourselves, some other animals, and some trees. Once all of that is gone mother nature is going to continue to do her thing on earth and throughout the rest of the universe. There is no threat to evolution anywhere. Its the natural process of the universe and is going to continue regardless of anything that humans are capable of doing.

So you either over estimate humans impact in the grand scheme of things, or you are actually concerned that we might not be able to survive without protecting nature. That is a concern for people, not nature. It seems that you probably do care about people considerably more than you pretend to, or maybe just yourself because you are a person, or maybe just people of privilege that can take days off for hiking and camping. Not the slaves though right?

Point is, your argument is not well thought out. Earth and evolution will both be fine. How are we going to destroy Either of those things? All of the essential ingredients to make life are going to remain in our ecosystem regardless of anything that we can do.

Also the FDA is a mockery of what it was meant to be. The EPA is fine, but there is little to no chance that Ron Paul actually would have taken it away, or have been able to.

winslow (85) (@winslow) 8 years, 9 months ago ago

@ijesuschrist, The EPA doesnt make or protect national parks. They regulate things that hurt the environment.. If there wasnt an EPA it doesnt mean that companies would start mining our national parks? If you really want to die for mother nature then go to Brazil and try to save the rainforest. That is mother nature being destroyed(not some election) and they will kill you for getting in their way. Every presidential nominee except Ron Paul wanted to increase drilling. He would not have let the environment die, he just wanted to get rid of the mumbo jumbo that surrounds environmentalism. There is a convention every year between the major powers about the environment and every year they leave without doing anything.

@ijesuschrist, How can you say people don’t matter? Even if we got past the debate of whether we all are one or individual souls or the universe or whatever, it is the PEOPLE that right now and here on Earth have the power to either destroy the planet or save it. Given that, I would say focusing on the people is much more important than focusing on the planet. Integrate them together but still, without changing how people perceive their worlds there will never be a change strong enough to overcome this destructive trend we are in.
