Has anyone here used this method for emotional release? If so what’s your recommendation/ is it useful?
@qwuakeup, @danfontaine, the Sedona method was explained to me last week. Have you ever had someone tell you “don’t think about pink elephants” and then you think about pink elephants? Our thoughts work like that. If you are stressed for example, fighting the idea of being stressed only causes it to continue and can even feed the stress. The Sedona method says rather than fighting a feeling, allow yourself to feel it fully for a little while, and then let it go. The example used was gripping a pencil as tight as possible for a while, and then releasing it, with the idea being that it felt good to release the pencil and relieve the tension.
Yes I have used the Sedona Method and it works well. You just have to be zen [sic].
