My thought was to make this into a very concrete thread, containing our best individual techniques of how to successfully write a book/story. Please make it simple and short if possible. Heres mine:
– I use a big white board or black board to mind-map my story and easier connect all the different sub stories into one complete story.
– I think way more intensly and focused about the story with a pencil in my hand. Somehow that kicks my brain into action.
– I write my story on paper and later on put it in a word document. The reason being I write on a completely different level when I hand write rather than type on a keyboard. Dont ask me why…:)
– I got a good advice from an experienced author in Sweden who told me to always start with the end first. “Complete the end before you start on the beginning and the rest will follow.” Makes sense. You need to know your destination before you set out to sea otherwise you will end up nowhere.
Best of luck to all writers.
Those are all really good tips.
I beginning to write a story, this is what I’m doing.
I meditate on a world of my own created reality and then pick persons of interest to follow in that world. I use crystals to contain these worlds. I watch the world and the events happen and write them down.
Starting at the end of the story makes it easier, just like that guy told you.
“I use crystals to contain these worlds” What do u mean by that?
I also tend to just drift away into my own mind of imagination land:) I see the event take place and then I try to describe it with awsome words=) Its like painting. Thx for your contribution!
