Why is the abbreviation of this amazing website another hidden sign that we live in a patriarchal society.
HE, clearly referring to the male gender.
So, women can’t be conscious and think of a higher existence ?
To stupid ?
Of course not !
Why not call this great website SHE = super high existence.
Well because aren’t we ( the female gender) fantastic ?
Don’t worry, I was just joking :D
But I like to do this thinking exercise, how much does your gender affects your thinking ?
( excuse my English, not a native speaker, to stupid ;) )
Hmm I never considered that the abbreviation was patriarchal. I doubt it was intentional, but maybe no one should be trusted. It’s a touchy subject. Heads catch on fire and stuff.
Just so you know: to is a preposition that expresses direction. Too means excessive or “also”. You aren’t too stupid. You just don’t have the information. Stupid is more like having inferior intelligence. I don’t really believe anyone is stupid. They just don’t know everything.
Meh! The fact that HE is short for High Existence and has nothing to to with the male/female thing is just a waste of a thread imo. It may or may not be a joke haha, but the original thought was there either way lol. It’s getting harder to find an actual deep subject to discuss here anymore.
Actually, HEthens was thought up by Andy, one of the first HEthens! (ha!) We liked it a lot because it was actually a name for the non-dominant and non-imperialist animistic oral people.
Im all for calling all the ladies SHEthens, haha! (There is definitely a structuring of perception going on with the words you use, so while your post is a ‘joke’, it still has some truth to it – proof? your post.)
“not a native speaker”! “too stupid”!!! – I disagree.
Because I, a man, believe that you, a woman, are as talented as any of us humans can be…
It’s just that, biologically, you are far better assembled than we men, so just as we look retarded(no offence intended by my use of that word) when we stare at ourselves in a mirror or any other available reflection, we also become ever so slightly mentally debilitated when trying to figure the right way of approaching you ever-so-slightly better versions of us.
I think this shows how my gender combined with my personal thought processes affects my thinking.
