Sleep Paralysis

So, I’ve come to realize i experience a phenomena known as sleep paralysis. at first, i was scared shitless. I am completely conscious and aware of myself yet i am unable to move at all. its a terrifying paralysis caused when the mind separates itself from the spine to prevent you from fully acting out your dreams. anyways, your mind wakes, but the connection doesnt go through, and you’re just stuck. Eventually i learned to calm down and have actually had some interesting experiences from there. i decided one time to begin to chant ‘om’. i felt an intense vibration from there and a lifting feeling. also i always feel like there is a shadow or presence in the doorway. its terrifying but you have to realized its the mind just freaking the fuck out. its common for people to experience this..So has anyone else had this occur? Any similar experiences? its pretty interesting stuff im just looking for any feed back. Feel free to say whatever you want lol

Well i haven’t, however my ex girlfriend use to have it all the time. I thought she said that she use to see things as if the dream was still occurring. I don’t know if that is actually possible in this scenario but i don’t see why not.

@dotcom, how often do you hit the snooze button? or end up going back to sleep after you had just woken up?

My boyfriend does this pretty frequently now.
Only instead of a shadow, he sees multiple white figures with eyes that just stare at him..
He says it is the single most horrifying experience he’s ever dealt with.
Especially when they touch him, he says.

How did you make it to where you don’t get scared anymore?

This is a big problem for him. :P
