We are all one consciousness
Reality is subjective, truth is subjective
How you see the world is how reality is
When you harm others, you’re harming yourself
When you insult others, you’re harming yourself
The outside world is a manifestation of the inside world
Live in the present moment always and fully – and life will just work itself out
Follow whatever excites you in the moment – as no other moments exist except now
Existence exists in relation to you – you can control every aspect of existence
When bad things happen, usually there’s a lesson to be learned, or an opportunity for you to reclaim
@whowhatwhy, once you put ethical issues (like punching a kid in the face) into the context of the well-being of conscious creatures, i think there is objectivity to be found that’s directly a product of what there is to know about reality (science)
@whowhatwhy, I know where you’re getting at but that’s not what I’m saying.
1 + 1 equals 2 to me in my reality, because that’s the definition I have on “1”. So to me 1 + 1 will equal 2 ones, which is 2, and 1 + 1 + 1 equals 3 ones, which is 3. This is the definition I’ve chosen to give it.
Let me Ive you some more analogies. To me to sky is blue, to another animal whose eyes can’t pick up colour it isn’t blue. The truth is that the sky isn’t inherently any colour, as colour is just the way our eyes interact with light rays. It is subjective and only in relation to you.
I do believe there is the base for all these “truth”, the source of everything, and I think that’s consciousness. So I’d say that consciousness is the only truth – and everything else is merely an illusion as everything arises from consciousness.
You need to elaborate the punching a child analogy but I’ll try to answer you anyway. If you punch a child that is bad. Because society says that is bad. In a society where it is okay to punch a child, then it isn’t bad. In some cultures women get stoned for disobeying men, which I think is wrong, but in that particular culture it is the right to do to.
