Space Travel Costs

Out of sheer curiosity, how much would you be willing to pay for the opportunity to visit space? Let’s say that a typical ‘astronaut travel package’ covered the flights, one week on the International Space Station (ISS) or a similar facility, all meals and expenses covered, and maybe a spacewalk.

Basically, since space tourism seems to be doable for people in our lifetime, what would the price need to be to convince you that it’s worth the expense to have this opportunity?

@oreilly, I’d go around $10,000 – that is IF i wanted to go to space. I can’t cay why, but it doesn’t sound appealing.

Now a trip to the Moon is a different story.

@oreilly, Not a big thrill chaser.. so maybe $300? I don’t get very bored ever.. I think there’s a lot more exciting shit here on Earth that we are ignoring. Fuck, even in this bedroom that I’m sitting in.
The dream catcher hanging from the ceiling gets ignored. It’s the 20 foot elephant in the room to be honest. One morning I woke up and I’m like holy shit – a dream catcher – form, grace and meaning dude… I don’t think even the moon is as inspiring. The imagination is cosmic, fuck space travel – until it has a purpose.
