@tdowling, I remember watching the first video in that series a while ago. There was so much misinformation, fallacies, and pseudoscience packed into 10 minutes that I could not watch the rest.
Do your research before blindly accepting this spirit “science” stuff. Seriously. The guy who made the videos might have worked hard to make them, but he did not work very hard to check the credibility of his sources.
@ballsackturtles23, Haven’t read it yet, but I have a copy of it somewhere. Basically, what I’ve heard about it is that it proposes an untested hypothesis for the function of the pineal gland. As of yet, I don’t have any objections to the book, but it is kind of annoying seeing people uncritically accept the hypothesis as true, despite the fact that Dr Strassman has let everyone know that his hypothesis hasn’t been tested yet. It’s an interesting subject.
@dudebrodude, Yeah, it annoys the hell out of me too. First thing in the book, Strassman says it’s a hypothesis I.E. hasn’t been proven.
I talked to Rick the other day, showed him my DMT art and he digs it. But I asked him about Terence. I said “Terence talked of Machine elves. I didn’t think I’d report entity contact, but low and behold I saw entitys and they communicated me. Was this because Terence programmed them in my head? I.e. if he’d said angels would I have seen angels?”
He replies, “I think there are invisible forces out that cloak themselves in the imagination”. Basically, he used every method of science he could and comes to the conclusion “the fuck?”. Certainlly bizarre considering the religious anicent history of psychedelics.
I don’t know what’s going on with it. I don’t know if you’re seeing your mind or tapping into what Huxley called the “Mind at Large”. I don’t think we’ll get an open answer within our lifetimes.
