I was just wondering, if anyone of you is also experiencing strong stomach pain when smoking weed. It usually happens to me on a peak and the pain usually goes through my whole upper and lower and even lower sides stomach. I wonder if maybe weed is trying to show me and bring up the pain, that there might be something going on with my stomach, kidneys or something? Idk. Share your thoughts please :)
That’s a possibility, but how do you smoke? Sometimes when people hit a bong they suck in to much air and it tightens their stomach and they don’t breathe properly between breathes and it hurts for awhile after the fact. Happens to me sometimes.
@martijn, I had the same issue too, with the addition of lactose. Smoking made eating lactose & gluten products easier on my stomach but I consumed more of both because munchies. I cut out both and am now a vegan and my body feels great, no more stomach pains, no more lethargy, think more clearly, I’ve lost a lot of bad weight, I can go on and on. :}
@yaelalonso, Also, if you’re smoking resin, don’t use a lighter – you inhale far too much butane and that can make you dizzy, your lungs cry, and eventually sick. Get a hemp wick, they’re cheap. Don’t ever use tin foil.
What do you do when you’re usually getting that high? Maybe something your doing is causing the pain.
It could always be a mental thing, it happened once before and now you’re associating peak highs with the pain, but that’s for you to decide.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (related story)
Recently I’ve gotten sick and smoked while I was sick. I got over the cold and kept smoking. I now feel like I’ve caught pneumonia. Even while having my lungs full of mucus I still smoked.
I got my recent stash from a friend who knows a guy and it’s home grown (I’m 17 and my parents are against it so I have to smoke secretly.)
Maybe I had bad stuff or smoked at a bad time or the sicknesses have just come naturally. My dilemma is that my dad is taking me to a doctor soon and I’m hoping that mucus doesn’t hold onto THC because the doctor is probably gonna examine my mucus to see if I have pneumonia and I’m hoping if there is THC in my mucus then the tests they run won’t be the kind that detect it…I wanna continue smoking…or should I try to detox my system?!
take 2500 mg of vitamin c daily for a week and then lower to 1000 a day & take a multi-vitamin daily after food, also supplements of the mineral selenium and eating antioxidant rich foods & antioxidant rich drinks like drinking green tea or adding cinnamon to food to help your body detox itself, and youll be able to get high as a kite and not get messed up throats or get colds ever again.best of luck!
@yaelalonso, Yes, I also thought about this as the cause.
It’s like a weird feeling tho, I’m not sure how to describe it. It’s as if something inside is oppressing. I smoked yesterday pretty much the whole evening until I hit the bed. And as it started hurting me I started putting more attention into the pain , trying to figure out what it can be, and as I did that, the pain seemed to increase (unless it was only because I focused on it). And it still hurts A LITTLE today as well. I don’t know if it is my stomach being super sensitive, or if weed is showing me that something might be wrong, or if it’s weed itself making me feel like that- which I can hardly believe. Hmm…
(Nowadays, I smoke from a glass pipe. )
Bro for sure your anxious and smoking a “Sativa” strain, you want to stay clear of Sativas especially when you want to rest. They will cause a restless mind a lot of pain and troubled thoughts. Try to find a heavy Indica like “Bubba Kush” or “Grandaddy Purple” and your late night session experiences will actually add to your quality of life. Be careful, Marijuana is a two edge sword just like anying else than can cut you when not handled with respect, knowledge, and care.
@shalalanovala, When I reduced eating meat and started eating more fruits and vegetables, I felt way better as well! A very light feeling inside the whole body. I usually smoke by myself and so I either meditate, or do random stuff on internet- mostly watch some crazy images or read or listen to music, or just sit and explore my thoughts. And when I smoke with my buds ( like yesterday, which caused me that pain again), we were cruising and then watched a movie and just chilled.
“It could always be a mental thing, it happened once before and now you’re associating peak highs with the pain, but that’s for you to decide” ————-That might be a possibility, but then since Im conscious about it, then I should be able to “stop” it, and I couldn’t until I went to sleep. And even as I was falling asleep I was feeling the pain still. As if something was oppressing me inside or some gasses were forming. I have no idea how to describe the feeling.
Just get a check up to be safe, maybe your mind is trying to tell you something. Also, maybe it might be your eating habits, maybe you have a hard time digesting certain foods, but you’ve been eating them so long that your body got used to it but still effects the processing of it.
@dida, There is none? Even if you ‘look’ for it, while sober?
When I smoke, I can usually feel my intestinal track much better; any, uhm, discomfort because very obvious.
Whats more so, is that when I smoke, my back HURTS. It just HURTSSSS. Usually when I smoke I spend the first 30, 40, 50 minutes trying to stretch my back and get into a position that feels good.
I noticed that my back always hurts, but when I smoke it becomes unable to be ignored. Perhaps this is the same as your problem – your mind has become conditioned to a (perhaps important!) pain and ignores it, but upon smoking, the mind lets go and the pain is very prominent.
@ijesuschrist, It hurts once in a while when I’m sober, but never as much when I smoke.
When I smoke, I can feel the pain so intensely! Almost as if I’m becoming that pain and there is nothing else I can feel besides it for a while. It’s pretty enjoying as it doesn’t let me enjoy my high all the way and puts my mind into negative thinking ( sickness, pain, that something might be wrong with my health).
Hm…I don’t think I ever experienced a back pain while high. But I might not be remembering due to my shitty memory lol.
Also,Marijuana heightens the senses, therefor more sensation are being felt.
But then I wonder, if it’s just my body’s reaction to the substance, or if it’s trying to show me that I need to put some attention into my health ( stomach, kidneys, liver…) since that’s where the pain occurred. Or it can also be , as Yael mentioned- “to much air is sucked in while smoking and it tightens the stomach and so u don’t breathe properly between breathes”
I have like a soreness like pain on the left upper lung/rib close to my wing bone sorry idk what it’s called lol I feel shortness of breath but can breath fine. Been smoking close to 2 years. I been trying to self diagnose myself but most of the symptoms they show I don’t have. I feel better when I stand up it just starts hurting when I sit down or whenever I remember about it.
@ijesuschrist, While sober, I randomly get like a little cramp feeling in a lower parts of a stomach- but the pain doesn’t really happen often. It’s only usually while being high….mostly on a peak.
It’s like a freaking snake going through my stomach! ;p I’m not sure how to describe it. It’s right in between the ribs, on the bottom. Deeep behind. As if something from inside is sucking in, something inside. Idk if that made sense :p and it made my stomach feel “heavier”.
Well, I guess I will give it a shot and get a check up. Piss test, etc. -.-
@dida, My stomach gets bloated when I smoke too much sometimes. Try to burp. Thinking too much? You’re just getting the fear. If not… Then go schedule a check up, you might fall gravely ill in no time and all you will have left is reminiscent memories and massive “fuck you in the ass” medical bills. Your mother would cry, your dad would too. :]
could be your diagraphm.
I’m not a doctor, but seems the reasonable connection to me.
