I’m writing to you guys because I know there are definitely some people out there that have felt this same sensation/state. Ever since I was a kid I would periodically stare into my eyes deeply until I felt myself getting lost, it was almost as if my mind was detaching from my physical essence and I was able to view myself in third person. Thoughts would flood my consciousness about all events that have taken place in my life up to the current moment that I was in. I felt as if I travelled to previous lives as well as my own, and then back to reality again. Has anyone felt this before, sober? It almost feels like your looking at yourself through the eyes of someone else and then it suddenly dawns on you that the the one perceiving you is in fact the same you looking back. Then it hits you that what you are is what you see.
I know, it sounds a bit nutso but there’s confirmation out there that this happens quite often to people. Feels weird, man.
@agapeinflux, have you ever had any psychic experiences other than this?….i too had a similar situation when i was a child…weird things kept happening in my life(i have seen some bad days). Years have passed and those occurrences have become minimal…yet whenever i get reminded of them i am curious to know whether there was any supernatural element in it….
@avi99, I mean, I don’t know if this qualifies as psychic experiences but I’ve had a few pre-cognitive dreams which blew me away, as well as experiencing tons of synchronicities as a kid. At the time I had no idea what it meant, nor was I familiar with the term so I wrote it off as mere coincidence. But when you notice things re-ocurring, it’s hard to ignore and disregard the higher element in it. :)
Hello! I realise you wrote this two years ago, but I was googling it to see if anyone feels like this and came across your post.
I hope you’ll get this because I know exactly what you mean. I first felt it a few years ago and now it’s happening more and more, to the point where I really don’t like it and find it quite disconcerting, I don’t even have to be looking in the mirror for it to happen anymore either . Anyway, would love to hear your thoughts / talk about it with you!
Oh yes! This is because you can access other dimensions by looking a mirror. I attended a course and learned to do this, and practised it a lot. Specifically, by meditating while looking in a mirror, you can see other dimensions. If you try this, you may notice that your head may sometimes seems to disappear. Which obviously feels a bit odd, at first!
This means you are entering the dimension of time backwards, where you can view your past lives. When your face disappears it means you are between lives. I have seen myself in many past lives, wearing many different garbs and faces. This may not be for everyone by the way! – I am a healer with a successful 20 year practise and I do past life journeys all the time, using a different technique based on NLP timeline, so I have a lot of experience of this.
I think also, re-reading your comment, that you are moving into your ‘Higher Self’ identity – the wise one as you gaze into the mirror. This is the wise part of you that you might call ‘the witness’. You can discover more about this part of yourself in my book, The Gift of Harmony if you like, it’s on Amazon and Kindle.
Oh yes, lastly – did you kinow that it is said that Nostradamus accessed his famous predictions of the future, by looking in a mirror? In this case, to do that, he would have been accessing the dimension of ‘time forwards’. ;)
Yes im actually experiencing the same thing since I was a kid and I thought I was the only one. I kept telling it all to my friends if there were experiencing the same thing but they didn’t and I would not view it as a peaceful thing it was pretty scary in my experience.
