One of the most beautiful songs I have heard lately is a remix of the theme song from Inception. Here’s a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Se5NBKNcsy4
What songs/artists do you love?
Not too sure if anyone already said this one but M83 ALL THE WAY. If you like a sound that is close to the ambiguity of Animal Collective, a fresh cosmic theme inspired by the M83 cluster, and the beauty of electronic/ambient/alternative music then them out! Their best album is called Before The Dawn Heals Us and fortunately the whole thing is on Youtube! Just take a minute to look them up and If you are not impressed with their very first song then I just don’t know what will…
BEFORE THE DAWN HEALS US
Those are some songs that can really leave a mark on the listener, if well heard.
I am a big fan of heavy music, so don’t get scared while listening to. Growls, screams and whispers are best ways for showing emotions, although they’re not in all of these songs.
REAL GOOD ONE RIGHT HERE GUYS:
Lately I’ve been trying to get in touch with my classical music side and found this really cool artist who plays violin and made it work with light dub step, its really cool! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHjpOzsQ9YI
Another good classical artist i have been loving is Brian Craine, his music really helps me get in touch with my imagination, its so beautiful. Hope you all check out the song! Enjoy =]
Hey, I was listening to a song on the bus the other day and it made me feel like I could take on the world. I felt like my imagination transported me to another place entirely, yet I have very few songs which I know I can do this with.
The song was ‘Keyboard Milk – Royksopp’ which I would highly recommend to anyone who likes daydreaming while listening to music.
The intention of this is to ask anyone out there if they have a similar experience with music, and if so please share with me any song suggestions.
All posts welcome, especially instrumentals.
(also if you guys have any particular daydreams you would like to share then feel free. For me, certain music really makes my imagination go to an awesome new level.)
I dunno about any particular song, maybe Gimme Shelter by the Stones that always puts fire in my belly. But There are a lot of albums that give me this feeling when listened to straight through. One is Revolver by the Beatles, most People have heard it but it really is a great album with a very airy feel. Another one of my favourites is by a band called the stone roses, it’s their first album, self titled. Here is the first three tracks from it;
One more album is Odgen’s Nutgone Flake by the Small Faces, The first track says it all, and its an instrumental XD
@freddieslater21, Hmmmm, I haven’t found really the PERFECT song or really much but I think I like to listen to some chilled acoustic instrumentals when I am doing work they put me in such a focused mood. The two that I have found that are nice for ME is
Phoenix – North and as you already know John Butler – Ocean (Which I discovered through HE)
:) If I think of anymore I will post em on here! xx
A few great albums,
Odgens Nutgone Flake – The Small Faces; Psychadelic rock n roll
The Stone Roses (self titled); Dancey, rock n roll, psychadelic 90s loveliness
Solid Air – John Martyn; Folky acousticy brilliance
The La’s (self titled); Rock n roll pop from the 90s
Symphonie Fantastique – Berlioz; Romantic orchestral beauty
Enjoy music lovers of HE!
