One of the most beautiful songs I have heard lately is a remix of the theme song from Inception. Here’s a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Se5NBKNcsy4

Ab-Soul he talks about of lot of things that i’ve seen around HE. JCole, he would talk a lot about just overall life situations that varied a lot so he’s good to listen too he has a lot of wisdom in his bars. Kendrick Lamar, most importantly Overly Dedicated, Wale for the poetry.. especially the mixtape More About Nothing. Joey Badass is an amazing lyricist, The Underachiever’s mixtape called indigoism, but if you’re only gonna pick one definitely Ab-Soul

Enter Shikari! “Abusing music’s worthless genre boundaries since 2003.”
They are my absolute favorite band and have been for quite some time now. Every single one of their songs has meaning. They sing about solidarity, about being one as citizens of the world. They sing about the icecaps melting, about the war and poverty happening all around the world. They are eye opening, they will reverse the way society has numbed your mind. And you will get down to all of their songs, guaranteed. Here are two of my favorites. The first is really old, probably the first song most fans have heard by them, called “Sorry You’re Not A Winner”. The next song is from their most recent album, and it is calm but awakening.

First, “Sorry You’re Not A Winner”:

And then, “Constellations”:

We desperados, black guns and gold Movados
Chrome hollows, break bones or smash models
Never follow, get it by yourself, that’s the motto
My heart’s cold, feelin like winter in Colorado
Cali kush burnin, my brain’s like a furnace

The chariot…..http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3UO0YR-MBJI…..punk rock whatever hardcore something…openly Christian but with lyrics mostly about anti materialism..anti war..and just being a better society. Their live show is something to be apart of..not watch.. But sadly they just broke up :(

The sound of animals fighting….http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=J4_Ed0gzqOg….a mindfuck.
Creating music for the art of it. Blending musical genres, mysterious lyrics that tell stories or promote social change..or just plain poetry and open book readings….a mindfuck.
