One of the most beautiful songs I have heard lately is a remix of the theme song from Inception. Here’s a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Se5NBKNcsy4
What songs/artists do you love?
I love finding new music and this thread has been tops for that. Awhile ago I stumbled upon this band NewVillager, they’re quite interesting and their tunes are very uplifting. I highly recommend checking out the songs “Rich Doors,” and “Lighthouse.”
Music is one of my passions. I am really into conscious hip hop. Music with a message. Being from the Pacific Northwest i have to show some love to groups like The Blue Scholars, Common Market, The Chicharones. Also Mos Def, Common, Blackalicious, murs, Living legends, J. Cole, Lupe Fiasco and pretty much anyone affiliated with him. Any artist that has good flow, beats, and the means to speak their peace.
I’m really getting back into Ayumi Hamasaki (i.e. J-Pop) these days. I’m going through all of her albums and there are some real gems that I’ve missed over the years. Here are three of them. (Sorry, I failed at embedding the videos into the post orz)
A Song is Born – originally sung as a tribute to 9/11
Hanabi – such a sad song with an interesting accompaniment and lots of vibrato
Independent – I just love the chorus, it makes me feel like jumping around
(slightly sad song, but I love it anyway, reminds me of my military friends)
My friends, PE singing their biggest hit…
This is really just still a small selection of music I love…
The Pacific northwest is where it’s at right now
Amazing stuff coming out of the Pacific Northwest
