The eternal question of Eternity

My favorite poet, Arthur Rimbaud, wrote this poem about his perspective on eternity: (It’s longer than this…)

“It has been found again./What? – Eternity./It is the sea fled away/With the sun.”

After speaking with other friends and reading other writers, it has revealed to me that the question of eternity is important for all artists, each trying to pin point their own… I’ve begun to ask around my friends and family for what is their eternity, but of being an artistic and philosophic mind surrounded by people preoccupied with other ideas, the responses I’ve received have been quite reviling… They all were realistic and jaded… I figure many more people here may have a more intriguing answer.

What is your eternity? Your infinity?
