the importance of family

are our relatives and the stress they bring vital to cope with? what do you think (if any) are reasons to try maintaining healthy relationships with our blood?

I think family isnt just blood. I think family are the people that you want to be with and trust to talk to. I think that those types of relations are important to have. Doesnt necessarily have to be blood relationships

@eric0127, very true and i thought about that- arent there statistics of children who were adopted having a higher likelyhood of being depressed or having mental illness? even as my expressing abilities grew they were tested the greatest by my family. dont you get the feeling our relatives- most likely due to how well they know us- have a certain hold on us? it might even be more than that considering foster care and single-parent household statistics of the childs overall health. maybe it is our blood.
