The Most Powerful Thing Man Has Ever Created

I’m thinking it’s the internet—“Knowledge is power.”

What do you think?

Well, one thing is certain – the internet has definitely changed the world by providing access to alternative information. Without the free will to choose what you want to learn about, you’re at the mercy of other people who dictate what you learn.

Once you start encountering knowledge and information which challenges your previously-held worldview, that’s when things really start to change. I think that’s what this world is going through, and yes, I believe you can thank the internet for this.

@chodebalm, Good point. People definitely have to read everything with “a grain of salt.” In fact, I think it’s good to be skeptical of everything, even your own beliefs.
After all, we’re all a little biased :)

Religion… Then, the internet, followed by television, and nuclear fusion/fission..

Created/discovered: Religion, Math, Music, Nuclear fusion/fission, The screw(nuts and bolts), electricity, fire, Camera, the wheel, paper/printing press, circuit breaker, television/radio. All more important/significant/powerful inventions then the Internet IMO and in no particular order(but if we were to order it, The wheel, Fire, Paper followed by everything else).

I would say as far as ‘powerful’, money. Money gives people power over all.

There is no more powerful tool that man has created other than that of money. Money allows those who have too much of it to subject those who don’t to their will.

Honorable mention goes to the internet, though

I’m pretty sure the answer is Pharmaceuticals/Medicine.

Even though I’m against any un-natural medicine.

I’d probably say the internet as well.

You’d have to imagine that if there’s intelligent life on another planet out there that they’d also have a form of communication (language), healing sources (medicine), some kind of exchange format (money) and weaponry.

The internet has the potential to be unique. So, in saying that, perhaps the most powerful thing man has created is the practical application of electricity.

Depends on what you determine as powerful. If you use it as ability to cause change, no doubt it is the internet. The change in language, society, ideas, lifestyle, birth of new worlds, along with the physical aspect of connecting everything by a wire or wavelength is A-FUCKING-MAZING. Language might be chosen as it is the biggest step of consciousness, and consciousness would be in my opinion the most powerful thing the universe has created.

The atomic bomb is pretty amazing as well, the fact that humans created something like that still baffles me…

And music is near top of my list, even though you can’t say humans exactly created it.

Social structure. The programing we get from everyone else growing up that teaches us how to respond to situations and what to think about them. It’s how we know when to pray, when to eat, when to fight and when to fuck.
