We live in a generation where the people in charge of our countries politics are rich kids who’ve gone through private schooling, yet they are the ones who ’know what we want’. How? How do they know what we want? They’ve never grown up in a recession they’ve never had too look for a job, they’ve never fought in a war. Yet they know what’s right and wrong. They have no clue what’s right for ’us’. Until there’s a politician fighting for our country who’s gone through the phases of a working class man/woman, then I’ll believe that they ’understand’ what is right for us.
Why do we villainize people? They’re just people. We’re all taught as kids that money=happiness. Not intentionally but the main goal for most people in life is to make money. It doesn’t matter what your background is, if you’re in it for money your view is going to be clouded and you’re going to be making decisions that are bad whether you know it or not.
I do agree politics are messed up and that there are too many people who are too willing to sacrifice other people to help themselves. But even coming from a “working class” background, you can still loose sight of how things used to be. My question is, how do we create a system that can work around that?
