Wanting to work overseas

levon (@levon) 8 years, 9 months ago

Hey guys,
I have a little dream of working overseas and know it would greatly help me with my savings.
I’m wondering if anyone here would be willing to help me out with a job?
I am not really fussed where in the world I land this dream but I couldn’t go without surfing so it would have to be near a beach.
Thanks for reading!
Take care,

Look at working on organic farms. They don’t pay you but some farms provide you with shelter and food in trade for work. use http://www.wwoofusa.org/ and be sure to read reviews closely and investigate before initiating them. I had a friend that traveled the world doing this and spending very little money. While working on the farm and getting used to his surroundings he’d apply places and find little jobs here and there depending on what country he was in and if there was a big language barrier or not. I wish you the best of luck!

Thanks heaps for the replies!

, I’ve seen that website before and, I’ll admit, was a little off-put by the upfront registration fee of $15.
I suppose in the grand scheme of things this is really not much at all and I find consolation in knowing that your friend found success through the website. I think it’s about time I signed up myself.
Thank you for your advice mate!

, That website seems like a great way to connect with hosts! Do the workers have to pay to work or just to use the website? I’m more or less looking for paid work.
Regardless, this seems like a great thing to do anyway. And I’m sure being a host would also be very exciting!

Thanks again guys,

https://www.workaway.info/ It cost money but i have got a few people to come to my place to work for free. I am a host so its free for me but the workers have to pay. Man the different personalities and great attitudes wants me to keep working for self reliance and teaching the off grid ways. peace and good luck on traveling for do it often.

A coworker of mine told me she received the opportunity to work overseas by volunteering for some kind of humanitarian work regarding sex-slaves. She went to Canada and Japan. I don’t know the exact way she went about it, but I could ask details.
