Was Hitler Right?
Was Hitler kind of right? And did he just go about it the wrong way? Ive been learning a lot about evolution in one of my high school classes and have been pondering a lot about human evolution specifically. Are humans and their minds so evolved that we can accelerate our own evolution and/or genetic selection. i know that killing people is wrong and hitler was a terrible man ,but is there anyway we could accelerate this process to help future generations. Is modern medicine and technology slowing this process by allowing less “fit” people to survive and reproduce and thus creating offspring. Haha what if we took the warning labels off stuff and let this problem work itself out. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated.

@jkenealy127, I do believe that as a whole we are getting weaker, if you are comparing us to cavemen who hunted their food. However, how do we decide who is fit? Physical looks? Physical ability? Mental ability? Height? Weight? Moral substance? Humor? Creative ability? Even the “unfit” people serve a purpose, such as working jobs that others feel they are above. If all we have are “fit” people, who will be our garbage men? Could you imagine a life without garbage men?
@jkenealy127, No. First off, unfit is in the eye of the beholder, and in some cases one can go from fit to unfit, and then with the right application, back to fit again. Besides, anyone who says “get rid of all the unfit people”, if that is what they truly believe, should be just as ready to march themselves off to the gas chamber the moment they become unfit themselves. I doubt anyone would actually do this.
@jkenealy127, We’ve reached the point in our evolution of taking it into our own hands. We do that through technology/medicine/etc., not genocide. I suppose Hitler “was right” in the sense of trying to improve the human race, but he was going about it in a completely wrong way. Also, improving the human race doesn’t mean exterminating people who don’t look like you.
@jkenealy127, There was a depression back then and Germany was the hardest hit out of all the Nations of the world because they had sanctions imposed on them because of their behaviour in WW1. In a sense, it was Hitler and his National Socialist movement that dug Germany out of this deep crevass, in that sense the movement was very sucessful, even genius. But that is as far as I am willing to entertain on the issue.
I have seen tall people born from midgets, I have seen highly intelligent children born from down syndrome parents, I would be crazy to think that there is any way to predict the value people can provide. Everyone has potential, I myself have been legally diagnosed with a mental illness that I have to be on medication for. Now, some people may agree, but I give the occasional nugget of good advice and insight, but to Hitler(rather if Nazis won and rule right now) I’d have been executed by now.
@jkenealy127, The definition of fit is totally dependent on the environment. Environment is always changing therefore it is impossible to predict what will be “fit” in the future. The closest we can get is to promote genetic diversity which is what nature does on it’s own. This means mix and reproduce form people outside of your culture. Random mating.
So no Hitler was not right at all.
@jkenealy127, He was terrible, one hell of a person though. All the innards of the innards of the Nazi’s experiments had to be discovered somehow. Imagine how much is kept secret. And just imagine how those scientists are forced emigrated to each super power that helped topple the Nazis. “Look at that, we can use that to our advantage, secretly.” Who knows.
@ijesuschrist, No; don’t say that! I thought it was a *fantastic* title, in fact, have you ever thought about writing professionally? I ask because I’m an editor in chief at a magazine, and find that despite the fact I have, what’s supposed to be some of the most accomplished US, UK, and Canadian talent, I STILL have to constantly re-title my writers’ work to generate more reads, which is SO not in my job description lol!
I have a suggestion as a professional if you’re willing to accept it: instead of being bothered by getting a lot of feedback, especially from people who misunderstood you and even if you dislike most of what your readers say, know that the amount of feedback you get can very well be an telling measure of how effective your title and introduction, or in this case, simply title, is.
So, to get to the point, you say bad title; I say good job man; keep ’em coming!

@jkenealy127, to answer your question “Are human minds so evolved…” Yes we without a doubt have developed superior cognitive function when compared to all other known organisms. If by accelerate evolution you mean speed up the process at which traits deemed unwanted or unsuitable phase out of our DNA and suitable or desired traits are developed, then yes we as a species are also in control of our own evolution. I don’t think I quite understand what you are getting at though? I think your trying to imply that we as a species should begin to phase out the less intelligent beings then I completely agree, but only in the sense that we need to raise the overall level of intelligence of the species not through natural selection or evolution but through education. That way instead of being a garbage man as @the1paula, suggests, these people can develop technology that collect the garbage for them, effectively providing the same service in a more efficient manner. Does this make sense?
@jkenealy127, Spartans killed babies they considered weak and unfit to be warriors. But, the problem is working itself out. Look how prevalent obesity is. Those people don’t have long life expectancies rest assured. Your title kind of made me want to hit you though. Just kidding but still.
@massmediamessiah, I have no idea what you just said to me.
Was that addressed at me or was that addressed at the original poster?
Most of living with optimal wellness is good habits and conditioning which we can study and develop. If we have healthy, educated perspectives and practices in prenatal care, birth, childrearing, and then in other stages of life, each person would be expressing their full potential physically, mentally, and spiritually which would actually evolve society instead of killing people off and missing their unique and valuable gifts to society. The problem is society is so fucked up in these areas of early life development that most people are slaves to junk food and sugar, have had all of their of independent thinking and ambition stomped out of them, and are basically walking around as huge vessels of wasted potential. They could have forwarded the human race if cared for and developed properly. No need to slaughter.
@hollowinfinity, ok hows this:
Was the mass slaughter of Jewish people the right idea?
Is this more appealing to you?
@massmediamessiah, Good point, the title made this post Butt hurt central. If you were trying to sell something, you would make millions. “DISAPPOINTED BY THE TITLE??? LOOK NO FURTHER, BUY THIS ‘I HATE HITLER SHIRT’ BUT WAIT, CALL NOW AND GET THIS ‘MY LOVE IS TOO GREAT’ BRACELET.
@s7221919, I still don’t get it.
@splashartist, Abusive subtle threats, followed by thinly veiled vague fake apology? Idk man, I’m part native but you can say Manifest Destiny if you like. Come to think of it, that does grind the gears a bit.
…Did Voldemort have feelings? Did Doctor Robotnik have some cool inventions? Was Freeza impressively powerful for such a short humanoid? I don’t know man, do we have to play politically correct bully on the interwebs? Rather, does it display an eye for tact?
And here I put a dollar in the don’t-make-things-personal-over-the-internet jar. No hard feelings or whatever one might say to make everything squeaky clean and such.
